I've still got my Berghaus, still in use 40 years later, few modifications. That cup is Swiss, and comes with a squareish water bottle that has a respirator water fitting on top.
I this got my Berghaus Crusader2 bergen 40 years on too... its not mint though but still fully usable, and unlike the later issued DPM webbing, the DPM pattern is as good as new.
I seem to remember my dad making a bandoleer almost exactly the same size out of some gash bit of kit he had kicking about, I can remember playing with it when I was a kid. He had SLR magazines and a smoke grenade in them.
Great video Well done. The two water bottle pouches at 12.40 particularly interest me. One is indeed a standard 58 pattern. The other one appears to be adapted with a 44 pattern popper attached to the top of a standard 58 pattern pouch possibly with the intention of making it easier to open and close
Fun fact those insoles were originally a US thing.. issued with the US jungle boots.. they are designed to pump the water out of your boots as you walk...

Nice collection Simon! Many thanks to Mick!!
Thank you Mr. Kelly!
Interesting items … brings back lots of memories. Just purchased a 58 pat nylon poncho and amazed at how much these are going for these days!

Very cool! How do you guys understand the pant sizing? Or from left to right on the tag, what measurements are being represented?
What is a fiber button stick? 13:30
The blue shoes. What was the purpose of those shoes? For Physical Training or for a secondary pair of footwear while in garrison/field drying boots?
Third?
Second!
