    Check out the (very nice looking and probably the best quality you'll ever wear) merch from the Animals As Leaders tour: keyanhoushmand.sellfy.store/

      Nice overview of what your doing on the cortex. Not sure if you knew this, but you can put the noise gate straight on to the input and it will free up a block. I don't think it changes the CPU usage at all. Press and hold on your input icon on your screen and turn it on. Might come in handy for you as you build presets. Best of luck!

    so sick to finally see someone using 1 QC for the whole band! feel like that was one of the big selling points no one talks about..... mad. cheers Keyan!

      this was literally what I had in mind when I saw the first ad from Neural, glad that he managed to use it in that way!

    • @christianverdion8730
      @christianverdion8730 Год назад +2

      True, I thought of that too, when I saw the trailer for the QC. But then I realized, I already need 2 of the 4 lines in QC, because of the different Captures and Effects that have to be in the Scene for switching Clean, Rhythm and Lead as well as Reverb and Delay.
      So the bass player can have on line and the rhythm guitarist can have another line, which have to be rather basic. But then again: Using 2 Units for 4 instrumentalists or 3 + vocalist would be fine

    • @henrikdahlberg878
      @henrikdahlberg878 Год назад

      The Haunted uses one QC for the whole band (2 guitars, 1 bass). Or at least used to. Ola Englund has videos about this.

      @Keyan Houshmand Live hello, is it easy to change tunings on an evertune equipped guitar? Asking because there aren't too many videos explaining how to do it. I did see one where the process of downtuning and back to standard is very different from other bridges. Is that accurate?
      Finally about your midi setup. Pardon the noob question but midi is confusing. Does your laptop running pro tools have to be connected to the cortex while playing for midi changes to happen? Or is it that once you program it per song and send the instructions to the cortex, it automatically happens? Thanks

    Man, that Tele is such a beauty! Regarding the Dingwall strings, I've either had to order them from Newtone Strings in the UK or from DIngwall directly (they do a Drop F# 5 string pack). Love the simplicty of the setup dude, I can't wait to build up my Quad Cortex rig when we tour again ahaha

    I use a lot of Neural’s plugins for my bedroom recording right now, but have been intrigued with the QC. Curious if you think it’s worth it for someone who isn’t going to play live shows, or if it’s gratuitous?

    • @MOAB-UT
      @MOAB-UT Год назад

      Def. NOT. MG-30 can hold you over for now. I paid $200. I had a FM9 too. MG-30 is good enough for a casual at home jammer.

    My band and I tried using scene for every song on the QC but when we would get to the point of the scene change (song change) audio would drop out for like half a second then come back. Does this happen to you? If not maybe you have some tips? Thank you!

    I have mad questions about Misha’s Jackson 7 string. I’m in between that and Aaron Marshall’s and mark Holcomb PRS and i want the Jackson, but i keep hearing it’s got terrible quality issues. What’s the deal? Should i get the ET7 and just get it checked out by sweet water?

    • @Creature1009
      @Creature1009 Год назад

      I have the pro series with the fixed bridge it’s great. Not as nice as my Balaguer Diablo 7 or my Ibanez ftm-33, I would say both of those are a higher tier of quality (also double the price) but the Jackson is really nice for the price. I upgraded the bridge to hipshot and put some guitarmory pickups and it’s great. The 20” radius and narrow nut are a slight learning curve after playing 16” radius and standard nut width 7 strings only, but nothing major.

    • @KeyanHoushmandLive

      It feels identical, it’s just a touch heavier because of the evertune. The guitars feels exactly the same in every other aspect

    • @KeyanHoushmandLive
      @KeyanHoushmandLive  Год назад +12

      All these shirts (apart from one of them, which is a ‘Heavy Tee’.. which is even better than a ‘Classic Tee’) are AS Colour Classic Tees, which are amongst the highest quality shirt blanks that money can buy. Unlike most band’s merch, they won’t die the washing machine after two washes, won’t stain from deodorant, won’t go rough and chalky and definitely won’t shrink. These are also priced in $44 Australian Dollars, which turns out to be around $30 USD. Considering the fact that most bands charge upwards of $50 for (shitty Gildan) shirts that aren’t even remotely close to the quality of these, I think you’ll find that these are a pretty good deal
