From the start of this video, i knew that either Mental Omega or Rise of the Reds would be no 1, Mental Omega and Red of the Reds completely transform their respective games and the modders put their heart and soul into these mods, i have played almost every mod listed here, 7 out of 10 i believe, but i have to choose between MO and RotR as THE BEST mode of CnC, i would pick MO, because they have completely revamp the whole game, a completely new campaign for Allies and Soviet, A campaign for Yuri and introduction of the 4th fraction, the Foehn Revolt and their awesome music composed by World Beyond, made this game come to life yet again after all these years, the MO is, as the modder claims it, the Almost Perfect Yuri Revenge!
Some people hate the MO mod because in their opinion there separating it from the main story. Some say that it’s because they’re favourite units like prism tank gets nerfed. And some people say it’s just too hard. But that’s they’re opinion and I respect that. My only problem is some people hate this for no reason.
@@ViperRaffy the difficulty is higher but that makes you work harder and smarter plus you have to strategise properly, when i was doing the allies campaign, i skipped almost 8 or 9 missions because i wasnt thinking outside the box, when i did realize that, it wasnt too hard, they have to balace every team accordingly, like for example apocalypse tank was way too op so they made it a stolen tech, prism tank was kinda op as well so they made it specialized anti building artillery, it does get people furious but also make you think outside of the box and i am cool with that!

Played Mental Omega, Shockwave, and Rise of The Reds. All three are absolutely amazing. Rise of the Reds is easily one of the biggest mods I've seen for a game.
U should also play twisted insurrection. Its just awesome and works as standalone. Mental Omega, twisted insurrection are best mods for the good old westwood games and Rise of the reds way the best mod for Generals

Yes I dont play campain in any that mods even in mental omega...Love rts but deleted Twisted I..Only 2 factions, sounds from red alert 2for some units..Maps so crap not flat
-The Red Alert: Red Alert 3 to Red Alert 1 total conversion -Dawn of the Tiberium Age: as the title card says, recreates C&C1 and RA1 factions and terrain on the Tiberian Sun engine. -Twisted Insurrection: Tiberian Sun mod-campaign with a full new storyline and new factions. -Mental Omega: Red Alert 2 mod-campaign with a full new storyline and new factions, and IIRC, a completely revamped Yuri faction, too. As for those other C&C3 and Generals mods... who knows, really. I don't see much point in those multiplayer-only mods...
Guess I'm busy playing the same old games over and over, since I have recognised most of the list. Fully expected MO and RotR to be on the top. RotR is my personal favorite, since it's feels like a crossover between Generals and Red Alert, only bigger and better.
Rise of the Reds is definitely my top favorite. It feels like a completely new expansion rather than just a mod imo. 2 new factions with tons of new units, structures, upgrades, etc.

Tiberium Insurrection is a very underrated mod I don't know why but it is worth trying out, it changes both of the fractions alot and adds/creates maps,crate units,tiberium and alot more it is fun to play and the music is great too. Mental Omega is a great "balance" mod of YR and adds a lot of new things worth playing it might be hard at first but once you know how most of the units work it can be a lot of fun, it adds a complete new fractions with 2 more sub fractions called "foehn" and 2 more subs to yuri also called "Psi corps" in MO "Epsilon HQ" and "Scorpion cell". Tiberium Essence is a great mod, it adds a lot of new things (pretty much everything is new) and it can be a lot of fun once you know the mod they will add the forgotten and cabal as fraction soon enough, thought GDI and Nod have enough changes to notice that this mod is making TW a completely different game. Shockwave is a great mod but it got left unbalanced sadly it is still playable tho, it adds a lot of new units, buildings, upgrades etc. although the AI aren't that good there is a mod called "Shockwave Chaos" witch is kinda like a extended version to shockwave but it doesn't balance it instead it unbalances the game completely adding a lot of crazy devastating weapons and such things. Rise of the Reds is a very fun mod adding new things to the 3 fractions and adding 2 new ones EU and Russia both fun to play either you choose Russian supreme nuke or tesla power or you choose the advanced technologized EU with laser beam, neutron tech etc. Contra is fun playing in PVP and PVE you can challenge yourself by giving the AI extra boost on EXP meaning they will reach the "late game" tech faster than you even if they kill a few infrantries, they even added Boss generals to the challenge campane thing which are hard. Contra adds a lot of new things, like 3 new factions, reworking all sub fractions by adding new units, upgrades and buildings even the tech tree is different. The "normal fractions (GLA, China, USA)" are different too you cannot select them without addons due to being the "Boss fractions" in the challenge mode and might be a little unbalanced if you could use them in a PVP match, their team is trying their best to support people and do all sorts of events, like 2 v 2 tournaments. @@dragondragon5437 I wouldn't say that Allies and Yuri are bad, USA got warhawks which main purpose is to support your ground units by debuffing the enemies ground units def the Ambras tanks are pretty overpowered too shredding infantry, tanks and buildings pretty fast and they have a lot more, Euro alliance got thors which are mainly to support and attack too if you use their ability (deploy) near your units they will get a slow debuff but a def buff which can be very useful in defending they also got those "coordinate" towers which buffs the attack from allied defensive towers greatly they relay on prisma tanks their main tank and multiple infantries, Pacific Front is a more air fraction with noro and black eagles, noro can shred everything pretty much but his hit points are very low meaning he will die fast black eagles are good at killing tanks and infantry with their "clouds" tech they also have blizzard tanks or a advanced AA tower which does a lot of dmg with one shot hail storms which are mainly for great spread dmg good infantry like the suppressor which can "sorta" debuff your enemy units by making their attacks "heal" your units instead of damaging works on buildings like tesla coils too and BF's (battle fortresses) with 4 slots. Now to Yuri: Psi corps is a great mind controlling fraction with cimara cores and master minds he can sneakily mind control units leaving your enemies no chance of reacting soon enough to avoid it, epsilon elites do not only gain the ability to float they gain a lot more, their tanks and infantries aren't mainly to shred bases but they are good at using the enemies units or just destroying everything in massive armies, Epsilon HQ is a great defensive to attack sub fraction being able to mutate the enemies infantry to mindless brute under your control with mines, abilities or their super hero Rahn, having stalkers killing the tanks with their great range or shredding buildings or maybe rather kill a horde of infantries with a few shots will make it a great unit, the Aerial Irikalla fortress is very tanky and is a good support/defensive unit, Scorpion cell is a more hit n run fraction due to his main tanks being able to hit while driving or speeder being fast its a very good way to annoy people the main tanks can also heal other tanks upon death when they die they release a little wave healing nearby allied vehicles, SC's also uses poison clouds alot like the plague spreader or the tyrannt being able to shred bases with ease by just drilling into their base and well as said shredding it, malver is a good dmg/support unit buffing nearby units on def and attack if deployed or killing infantry or tanks while being stealthed.
Tiberium essence sure does deserve all the praise... It is essentially an expansion pack... done by moders :D Like campaign and cutscenes and everything... Full blown expansion I tell'ya...

There should be "One Vision" mod for Kane's Wrath. It's kinda new but brilliant balance wise. It has a lot of new stuff but tries to stay close to vanilla gameplay.

Nice video. I never really cared for anything produced after RA2 Yuri's Revenge, my top two mods are #1 Mental Omega and #2 Dawn of the Tiberium Age. I prefer those two mods, due to the AI actually acting more like a human player. Twisted Insurrection has really nice graphics, but the AI is just plain boring and too easily defeated.
Im only interested in generals mods with hard challenges. This leaves me with either shockwave or contra. I cant beat them unless someone fixes some bugs. Contra 2 just came out a few months ago so Im working on those.
Damn my fav game is in there by the way its command and counquer general zero hour but in my laptop it wont get me in on china mission 5 and gla mission 2. Happy its in there
I think it's a matter of compatibility with newer hardware than whether or not your computer can handle it. I have a brand new computer that also has trouble running Generals when there are many units

My favorite YR mods are Mental Omega and Red Resurrection (not mentioned).

I like the rotr mod but so sad my pc cant handle its graphics and its lag
I think it's a matter of compatibility with newer hardware than whether or not your computer can handle it. I have a brand new computer that also has trouble running Generals when there are many units
@@zoom3000 yeah and my pc is old too and not created to handle too many units on generals so i just stick to red alert 2 even there are too many units it wont cause any problems. Thanks anyway for your immediate response.

Hey, suggest you play a new mod name "rise of the east" for my opinion, it is the best RA2 mod for now.

Mental Omega get a new revamp campaign,is more like a unoficial sequel of Yuri's revenge. Also incorporate a new faction called The Foehn Revolt.
