The reusable hyd fittings will be fine have been using them for 30 years in industrial plants running 20 hours straight as long as you get the right size hose/ fittings your golden
Your voice is so soft, I wish you would wear a mic. I'm almost 70 and I miss most of what you are saying. One very cool rig there, love the color of it.
The Scorpion 2.0 came out so nice Matt ! Great job my friend and I can't wait until its on the trail . Looking forward to your next video sir. Take care.
Rear steer is very easy to get the hang of self centre is very cool i think you use it most of the time with it off it will be interesting to see how you use it very nice work as always
Stopped by your tent in bantam it was nice to see your rig in person. The vids do no justice to the scorpion must see in person. All the people in your tent where really nice folks
That’s awesome probably my favorite build That’s my dream jeep if it was a Comanche It’d be me personally my dream jeep especially built like this great work
I love that thing and I've never seen it in person. If you started building the Scorpion again from scratch today knowing what you have learned along the way , what would you do different?
@@bleepinjeep As I have never built anything like this and I study a lot of online content I think get a JK chassis to take advantage of the aftermarket and do the tube work like you did to get the XJ look, sound plausible?
Psc has always used eaton weatherhead fittings, as of very recently they started carrying a cheaper fitting because eaton raised their price. I didn't know this until I ordered fittings from them and got the different ones. I work with a lot of hose and fittings and I'm worried about using those new fittings psc has especially with weatherhead hose, I trust psc but when your doing something because it's cheaper I'm always a little leery so I sourced weatherhead fittings from Napa which are the same fittings psc used to use for years and they are in my opinion the best and still worth the extra cost. The new fittings psc is sending out are dimensionionally different than the eaton fittings and psc is having people use this fittings with weatherhead hose which is only supposed to be used with eaton fittings.
What's the red plastic net looking sleeves that you keep on the double ended ram pistons? I wondered why you kept them on, I thought they just sent them with those on to protect while in shipping?????
The stance on that thing is disgusting sick. Can't imagine anything attached to it is none the less, cool stuff. You are the Mr. Rogers of 4 wheelin' btw. Throwin swords in the ground and stuff😄😄🤔🍻👍👍😄😂👍👍🍻😄🍻😄
BLEEPIN' Awesome! I love your set up, and your ideas about the seat and tools. Can't wait to see her in action. What back up are you running for those freeky-deekie shocks? If you hit a fat turtle and clip a line, I'm scared you may be suspensionles. Finishing Rubican on the bump stops would be HEII!
Yea you bouncing on scorpion looked like it didn’t make a difference but on the good side of things “froglegs” yeeeum both steering works and they look a great
Hey Matt, what's up with the Warn ride in Windrock? How can I be a part of that ride? Warn shows one day, but you show two days? I missed last years fan ride and really want to be in on this one!!!
Is Matt still running the low pinion tj Rubicon front Dana 44 housing? I know it's heavily modified and doesn't resemble it anymore. And no, I did not watch the whole video forgive me 😂
Wow man I remember years ago when the scorpion was done the first time. I thought it was cool then, but look at it now. This is one impressive “Jeep”.

RUclips has closed captioning, I am hard of hearing myself.
Press the little button on the video that says CC in a rounded off box for closed captioning 👍🏼
@@firstwordcar then it blocks some of the pic..
It beats someone shouting at you all the time, that really ticks me off 🇷🇴
Haven’t seen you this excited in a long time!!! Happy for you Matt!! The Scorpion looks insane!
See you at Wolf Caves, TX! ❤️🐞
Fantastic upgrade to the Scorpion. Great crawler!
It was fun watching you and Colt putting the rear steer to good use on Mammoth today. Have a safe trip home!
Thanks! It was awesome to meet and wheel with all of you!
The Scorpion 2.0 came out so nice Matt ! Great job my friend and I can't wait until its on the trail . Looking forward to your next video sir. Take care.
Great upgrade to the Scorpion II and very well done.
Pretty awesome project. Great job!!
Awesome! Just totally Awesome! Loved the Scorpion and Scorpion 2.0 is even better!!
Wouldn't worry about the shorter barbs on those hose fittings , we used to use the same on forestry machines and they worked well in the field.
I’ve driven my buddies rear steer wheeler and I looked like I was drunk…it takes some time to get your hand eye coordination working.
You’re an artist man that thing is crazy

I am glad to see the Scorpion ready for action!
Love watching your videos! Scorpion is looking pretty tuff!
You did a great job on your rig
looked so good in person, the color is way better in the sun.
I can’t wait to see how she crawls now! It looks awesome!
It's a wild rig, hope you get a lot of enjoyment out of her, all the best to yous and your loved ones
Looks like it all works, now need to see it on the trails.
That rear steer is SICK! You need to stop giving me ideas for my XJ. Can't wait to see this on the trail.
Turned out great can’t wait to see it in action
Rear Steer makes a rig so much more fun!
Definitely, a trail must for the serious off-roader.
You should make a flip forward, fold down, toolbox bench seat for the rear. Store the tools inside and low, but still space for riders( camera people)
Can hardly wait to see it climb the rocks be safe out there
Looks great. Can't wait to see it in person.
Very nice. Hope to see it in the southwest (Moab, Sedona, etc) one day.
Dude I’ll always remember the beautiful day in the neighborhood and that was my introduction to you.
Great Job Dude!!!🤘
Thank you from KSA.
That’s awesome probably my favorite build That’s my dream jeep if it was a Comanche It’d be me personally my dream jeep especially built like this great work
Amazing rig man I’m a huge fan of it
Thats super rad. Well done.
Turned out sweet!
Now I need a toy with rear steer! 😍
That looks so good..
Awesome man great video
You are a genius 👍
Hopefully you're at least halfway to PA with it by now! Looking forward to seeing you and the Scorpion 2.0 tomorrow @ AOAA!
Cool rear steering
Nice job. Doing a 1 ton conversion to my 99 2dr. very soon. Thinking that rear steer may be the way to go. See you in Moab next year at EJS...🤓
It was cool to get that thing out on my trails at Bantam and to meet all of you.
Crème de la crème a la resistance!
That’s 100R5 hose and fittings. They hang in there. I sell lots of those.
I love that thing and I've never seen it in person. If you started building the Scorpion again from scratch today knowing what you have learned along the way , what would you do different?
Hmmm, probably just started from scratch so I wouldn't have to build around the xj.
@@bleepinjeep As I have never built anything like this and I study a lot of online content I think get a JK chassis to take advantage of the aftermarket and do the tube work like you did to get the XJ look, sound plausible?
This thing is gonna tear up some buggy lines. Can’t wait to see it!
Sweet scorpion 2.0 is ready for duty 👍🏾👍🏾
@14:32 queue the tokyo drift music.
Awesome build got a question tho what are your plans for the old axles you took out?
Psc has always used eaton weatherhead fittings, as of very recently they started carrying a cheaper fitting because eaton raised their price. I didn't know this until I ordered fittings from them and got the different ones. I work with a lot of hose and fittings and I'm worried about using those new fittings psc has especially with weatherhead hose, I trust psc but when your doing something because it's cheaper I'm always a little leery so I sourced weatherhead fittings from Napa which are the same fittings psc used to use for years and they are in my opinion the best and still worth the extra cost. Ohh wow didn't know that. I got these from trail gear but yes, Eaton are the best!
Bob Dog was super excited to see you guys pull up to the playground. Me, I was just panting in the heat.
Congratulations on completing the build let me know when you’re ready to take on another build and what it will cost me

Was glad to meet you and Colt at Bantam Fest at Butler. Home of the Jeep😂🤣
Nice work !
Welcome to the world of rear steer. It's such a great tool to have available but has a bit of a learning curve...ask me how I know. haha
Did you keep the 1310 u joints at the transfer case side on the driveshafts?
@ 1:30 . . . those fittings are "field serviceable" not rebuildable . . .
When you gonna take this thing up atomic ridge, off of trail 11 I think? I'd like to see that one 😳 , that rear steer surely would help
Very nice!
Why not just go 3 link in the front? I set mine up that way and it works fine, even on the street.

There's no lines for the shocks but they can fail. No backups.
@@bleepinjeep We old guys like our mechanical parts. A hammer and some vice grips and we can fixit. LOL
Yea you bouncing on scorpion looked like it didn’t make a difference but on the good side of things “froglegs” yeeeum both steering works and they look a great
They make stainless steel braided hydraulic lines?
Brake lines? Yes. Probably any size if you have the 💸
Are you going to put so metal on the bottom of the doors?
I must have missed it at some point
Did the Rubi 44s fail him?
Did the 4to1 221 fail?
Thanks to anyone who knows the history of 1.0
Any chance you ever weighed the scorpion before or after the new axles?
No, but I would like to do that with digital scales on all 4 corners.
Bummer it looks so much better on Swampers
Hey Matt, what's up with the Warn ride in Windrock? How can I be a part of that ride? Warn shows one day, but you show two days? I missed last years fan ride and really want to be in on this one!!!
Just show up and come wheeling! We'll be there supporting Warn and having fun with our peeps😎👍

Love to do that to peoples cars parking in front of my house when blocking off my driveway to get my f250 in my joint
Sweeeet!!!
Ok … So I have to put this on my list.

😀NICE 👌
love your stuff... but you're very soft spoken. More volume on your videos would be greatly appreciated.
You need a little work on the audio. I can’t hear you.
You gonna bring the Scorpion V 2.0 to the next Harper’s Cars and Coffee?👍🏻😀
Sure, when is it?
I’ll have to check but It’s some time In July
