I have yet to hear or see another band like Thrice that can pull off a live performance that sounds exactly like the recorded version. I am speechless, Thrice really are musicians of our time.
why would a band THIS AMAZING take a hiatus...it just doesn't make sense...we all, as loyal fans, will be here when you get back...our hearts and prayers are with you guys.
Just saw them in Toronto and once again they absolutely killed it!!! Such a polished band performing solid songs, it truly is a sight to see!!!!

One thing I have always loved about Thrice is their lyrics. This song speaks so much today. With everything going on in the world, "Will we never turn to grieve the damage done?"
the album was met with universal acclaim and has an 82 on metacritic. they just are at a point in their lives where they need to take a break. keep a close eye on kensrue's solo stuff though.

i dunno why, but it seems major/minor is full of songs that are meant to be played live, like this. i'd rather listen to promises live than on the actual album. when they play it live it just seems... better. don't ask me why, it's just... like that. it's the same with yellow belly.

I do agree with you, but The Hives can sure give them a run for their money. Actually playing music like these guys can though is way underrated. It's a shame.
