@@callsigngrimey Appreciated - my colleagues don't believe me when I tell them I haven't got a rudder pedal system and am using my left HOTAS throttle (for helicopters) as my rudder and the right for power - want to video to show them. Also makes it interesting trying to do formation take offs in jets using the Z and X keys

Hey, great question! It’s too much to type but I’ll work on a video on how to Master the Tpod in the Harrier. So keep an eye out on my channel in the coming days. Thanks bud
Some of the stuff about what it is you are looking at comes from practice. Tips you can use in day time is swapping between FLIR and CCD from time to time. Night time try changing gain and contrast or swapping tback and forth WH to BH. Also you can se the Hot spot detector in the hud to help narrow down the search. Setting up waypoints and designating they so that TPOD is looking the right way immediately is also very handy.
When you cage the IRMAV does it automatically lock? Or do you have to TDC Depress? Sometimes when I TDC depress the seeker goes into boresite and I have to start over
When you uncage the mav it doesn’t auto-lock target in my experiences. I push the TDC DOWN and if it’s in range and can “see” the target it will then lock. Sounds like you’re having that issue when using the TV to acquire targets? If so just remember after uncaging to hit Sensor Select Switch Forward *Before* pressing TDC. That should alleviate the issue for you.
On the EHSD lower left corner is DESG button. Pressing this will tell tthe TPOD in INS mode to slew to that point. You can go back and forth between INS and TPOD mode with double press SSS down.
Fun vid. I fly av8b on gray flag sometimes. See ya on there. 😊
Always nice to see other Harrier guys flying around. Grimey 6-9 is me
Me too. Look for Gnarly 1-1
Elgato needs to give you a sponsorship man. Sweet setup!
Lol that would be amazing
Nice video Grimey. Still need to practice my IRMVS in the Harrier. See you in the skies on GF PG. Gnarly 1-1 | Warfiend
Thanks bro! Will be looking out for you in the server
Great video - could you do a video on how you set up your Throttle/Stick cam and what applications you use to produce your videos please?
Thanks! Well I can just tell you here. It’s just a webcam mounted above the HOTAS. As far as editing I use Davinchi Resolve which is free.

Nice Video!
Thanks!
In the a10 I just fly into the danger and wait for them to shoot at me and find them that way 😂😂
I did that when I started lol it's a 23.7% success rate, I know from experience. lol
If only the Harrier had that sweet HCMS ability.

Hello,
What is your joystick and thrust sir? Maybe I should buy it.
I run Virpil Throttle, Alpha stick, and pedals, info in the description on my most recent videos
@@callsigngrimey Thank you sir.

@@callsigngrimey Ah, that would make sense. Thanks!
is there anyway how to designate a waypoint with the tpod?
