I recently focus more on music theory to expand my chord knowledge and try to make my progressions sound better. I find your video so helpful and easy to understand. Keep up good work!
Sean my man! This is exactly what I need. I have gotten into songwriting for about 4 months now. After working on my fourth song I can tell the open chords in the first few frets are not gonna give me the range of voicings I will need the more songs I write. What you explained is within my skill set. Before the shutdown I was also starting to get asked to come play with other more experienced guys. This should give me some options to work with. Thank you for presenting this in a way without using too much of the big technical theory jargon that is impressive, but often confuses guys who can play a bit confused. You did explain it with just enough theory for me to understand what’s happening and why it works.
Sean - Again excellent content for mid-advanced like me (at least I think so lol). Pls keep it up as I love your style of teaching. I even bought one of your courses as you’ve thought me some stuff I didn’t think about. I’d really like to see some more advanced/serious lessons from you (just my opinion). I want to see what you got and learn from you!
I've said this before and I'll say it again, Sean Daniel has gotten more out of a Bachelors in communications than 96.7% of the rest of us in the history of communications degrees. Wear it proud Sean
After catching your live stream last week, I'm absolutely gonna make a habit out of your channel, much appreciated sir! I use a lot of the what you teach..but never knew what in the hell I've been doing from a theory perspective . Ive been told to learn more about it, always avoided it like the plague. Thanks
Didn’t know that Sean was one of us “Bachelors in Communications” people lol. I think like 95% of us go into an entirely unrelated field after graduation haha. It was still fun though.
Do you have a lesson on the circle of 5ths? Im to lazy to check and while i understand it mostly, i found myself talking about music and realised I dont have a full grasp on it lmao
I recognize your work as great "go ahead" instruction but I would not be able to fully get it unless I was in a room with my guitar & with human instruction right there. These concepts & practices are ones I want to know...
wondered what the rest of the guitar was for lol... I find myself watching your videos over and over as you speak really fast and I am a stupid beginner and I miss things and feel a bit demoralised - its only after the third or tenth time of watching I go ahhhhh. I like the numbering of chords that I think is a nice muscle memory trick - and you fly throgh lots of tricks quite quickly - I find myself noticing other little things you do when I replay over n again ....even dumb simple things I feel I should have already known about....like the way you play a C was wondering why my e kept ringing out you use your finger to mute it and play the root with your pinky....dont know if I can do this my fingers are tiny I usually mute with my thumb....if you wanna maybe you could reccomend a song that utalises some of the techniques you are demonstrating here I learn better that way personally ....for example I am learning a song just now called blowers daughter that reminded me of this lesson...
Love these videos, thanks! One question for you, though. Do you not ever play the full C shape chords down the neck? I like your methods of breaking chords into fragment, because the transitions to a C shape F chord are a bitch! They don’t feel Conducive to playing freely?
I cant even do the F major let alone play a song! Easy chords are all I can do & can't even do them properly after 6 months...getting nowhere & no one teaches round this one horse town!
So, this is stupid. There is another video that discusses "easy guitar chords" in which Sean shows how to play chords on three high strings, which was the video that convinced me to subscribe to Sean's channel, but for the life of me I cannot find it anymore. Need to create own list of the vids. Argh.
Sean an following for years now but need to take my playing serious I mainly used 1,4,5 but to bring in the 2,3,6 its a problem i need some help on this
This is a clever lesson. The fifth on the low E with those minor dyads is something I've never thought of before. Music is so cool!
This is so much needed for the world man. Thanks so much!
Awesome main angle with that wide angle lens
Easy and fun is the best kind of guitar playing when it comes to learning. Cheers!
I agree
Easy and fun and I'm there!!!!!!
This was unreasonably helpful. Thanks Sean, really appreciate what you serve us on the dish of the internet.

Good vibes bro!
Peace and blessings

You rock thanks 😊
Brilliant - pulled simple stuff into something so useful - now I’m combining this and your pentatonic on 2 strings into a song.. thanks !!

Always love learning new chord voicings !!
Love these simple ways to spice up a song easily. As a beginner get really stuck with the same ol chirdds. Gonna try these tomorrow

Greg no better way to communicate than through the language of music
Well communicated, Sir. (edited for content).
And here you communicate so well I thought you had a PHD!

Really enjoy your videos. You've helped an average guitar player become a much better player. Thank you so much.
Very cool Sean. Simplified very well.
Some of this I already use but that f major 7 that fits right where I need it in a song of mine. Major breakthrough thanks
Thanks a lot Sean we really learn great new stuffs from you

Some go on to grad school so they can teach the new under grads. It’s like Amway with a football team.
nice, looking at different chord voicings....I tend to be stuck on the 'regular' once....thanks again Sir Sean
I love the way you explained this... Thanks!
Awesome😀 Cheers from Vancouver 🇨🇦
At 8:55 it should be Dm and Em, as you are playing the flattened third on the D string
Thanks for these, Sean!
This is great. As you point out, a lot of songs live in I, V, VI, IV. This will really "shake it up, baby, now."
You had 999 Ups; I got u into 1K! You simple and GOOD.
When I'm not busy watching the communications of a bachelor I like to slide chords up the fret board! Cheers Sean!!
🤯 Gonna try this 👍
Nice, thank you for explaining.
fantastic lesson!
Killer intro/segue,sir!!!
Thanks so much!
Somehow, this time, you spoke to my level (beginner, striving for mediocrity). Keep it up, and I’ll be giving out more likes, like this one.
Thanks for watching Randy!
I like your noise cancelling wall art.
Very helpful
Love this lesson Shawn!...ps: dude you look like JJ Cale in his younger years😎
great ideas. thanks
You're lessons definitely an antidote against the virusblues Sean
Thanks
I like playing my Cmaj. on the 5 fret top 4 strings .
Hi
daniel, do you can help me? is about lefty acoustic guitars.
thanks
good bless you
Can you tell me what type of soundproofing is on the wall behind you?
Do you have a lesson on the circle of 5ths? Im to lazy to check and while i understand it mostly, i found myself talking about music and realised I dont have a full grasp on it lmao
Fall is here! I hope you’ve got the leather jacket in your sights. Thanks for the lesson.
Thanks
4:08 Background drum roll. 🥁🥁🥁🥁

What make and modal is this lovely guitar please?
I agree it has a lovely sound. It's clearly a Taylor, no idea which model though.
Thank you for the easy guitar chords I’m not using overview.
Wowww sirrr good work
You showed this old dog a new way..The light bulb just lite up on playing lead too.
I like an ultra thin pick.
Great 👍

Communication B.S. UNUSED since '05, son!
I communicate BS daily though I don’t think that’s what y’all mean.
I’m watching this and thinking, do you miss Ian? I think he would be really impressed with your hair game today.
Rick Price does this chords since 30 years!
My pinky is not long enough to get up there. Lols
Love these videos, thanks! One question for you, though.

That is bass rooted in major and minor bass playing
Sounds like my PolySci degree
Everybody’s first now apparently
Sean, just as the homie Greg pointed out, wear the communications degree with pride. THE EFFECTS ARE SUBTLE
Nice video
BTW i want to play guitar and sing songs but i am so poor that i was not able to buy a guitar😭😭

Umm quick question did someone uppercut your nose ?
"f1rSt"
Dude, please support your guitar instruction with some visuals. People have different learning styles bro. Everyone loves visuals.
First
sorry you lost me at the start lol

Thanks - fun and learning so much@
throw enough shit online and hope something sticks
It all sounds terrible to my ears, sorry.
Sheesh. Sounds like you need to listen to something else.
