Rabiya is a 24-year-old Physical Therapist graduate. After graduating she went straight to teaching other people what she learned and this is where she got her confidence and comfortability in delivering her thoughts. And to answer your question, yes it is her first time joining a national pageant and surprisingly before MUP, it is also her first time joining a pageant in her region in which she eventually won giving her the right to represent her city, Iloilo.

Hi Luis! Rabiya Mateo's first pageant was Miss Iloilo. She won Miss Iloilo Universe there. Then, she was sent to the Miss Universe Philippines as Iloilo City's representative, so it's her second pageant. At MUP, she won the title. Therefore, she'll be representing the Philippines in Miss Universe and it's her third pageant. She is a first timer in everything.

But the irony that 'toxic fans' and 'fandoms' has made is, they are degrading and bashing candidates(especially whom they think a strong competitor), to attack them mentally and to loss their focus on the competition. It is sad that these ladies(including Rabiya) are experiencing this mental and emotional pressure in their quest for the crown. But I just want to stress out that, at the end of the day, the lady that will have the crowning glory is the one who shine the brightest and purest like a diamond. Honestly she said in an interview that she should have wear the white gown for her finals that she uses in preliminary competion but she wore the red gown instead because in the outdoor interview she said that the color red is the color that represent a phenomenal woman so she use the red gown in the finals to show to people that she is a phenomenal. woman

Oh!I forgot to watch this episode! The costume that each candidate represents the City they are representing. The culture of the Philippines is very diverse. Filipinos were really creative, amazing, and resourceful. Each unique piece has its own meaning and history.I truly agree with what Ms.Universe Philippines Rabiya said that, Philippines is a pageant-loving country. And I am really proud to be part of this country, to be a Filipino!
I almost forgot her winning answer! Personally, during the Miss Universe Philippines competition, I had my bet and I didn't know Rabiya was in the pageant. I only knew her during the prelims and finals. I was in awe with her performance during the prelims, that's when she caught me. There is something in her that I cannot explain, a mixture of mystery, sophistication, wit, and beauty.

I almost forgot her winning answer! Personally, during the Miss Universe Philippines competition, I had my bet and I didn't know Rabiya was in the pageant. I only knew her during the prelims and finals. I was in awe with her performance during the prelims, that's when she caught me. There is something in her that I cannot explain, a mixture of mystery, sophistication, wit, and beauty.
