She could not even pay for her boarding house's rent that is why she slept on the floor... the owners of the boarding house gave her mat so she could sleep. Pursued hard for her college degree on full scholarship as her family could not send her in college without the scholarship, graduated Valedictorian in college and gave the commencement speech for her graduation. Was the bread winner of the family at a young age. Even in the competition she had problems as to what outfit she would be wearing as she has little resources. She he had a very low resolution phone that she would even ask some of the candidates to take a picture of her during the competition so she'll have memories of competing in her first national pageant. Those are few of the reasons she could not post as much in social media during the competition. She is just very very inspiring in all aspects. I just loooove her! So raw, real and authentic. I have really high hopes for her in the Miss Universe stage. Like you I am just a very big fan!

I think Pia Wurtzbach, was a dark horse during her time. She wasn’t everyone’s top choice for the title although she was a standout. People have her in the radar but was totally overshadowed by powerhouses like Colombia, USA & Venezuela before the coronation night. And even among the candidates, Pia was not much of a competition in their minds. But during the finals night, Pia just kept on slaying every round until she clinched that crown.

Long time ago, we tried to speak English with American accent because our educational system adapts the American accent. However, since a lot of of students from neigboring countries such as Japan,Vietnam,Korea and Chinese who come to Philippines to learn English,Then British English was introduce..Thats why, we speak English with neutral accent.

My top 4. is Rabiya Mateo fr. "Iloilo City"- silent killer of the competition, ..after the show ..(my intuition is absolutely RIGHT !!!) My top 3 choice is Michelle Theresa Imperial Gumabao fr. "Quezon City"- fr. the pre-pageant, she's so popular I could say, a little similarities to Miss Julian San Jose (but after the show, I felt disappointed to her diva attitude and immaturity, as well Sandra Lemonon accusing someone else sabotage the judging system.) My top 2. choice is Alaiza Flor Malinao fr. "Davao City"- She looks like a real "Perfect Tan Supermodel" very fit for any International league of Beauties Globally. And my FIRST CHOICE is APRIL SMITH of "CEBU" - a dark counterpart of Miss Alma Conception, indeed she's so pretty ( but the 11 panel of judges, I don't know their criteria of choosing w/c ladies could excel or their bets.) ..But I'm not against with Rabiya's winning, I could say that..she deserves it, ..the title and the 👑 crown. Shamcey Supsup was a judge in the local pageant in ilo ilo and she was advised to peak at the right time.
She also told that to Pia Wurtzbach 🥰 it’s a great tip for these girls. They feel so much pressure as is, telling them to chill until the important parts of the competition is great strategic advice.

I've got to recall my top 5. favorite list in the Prelims Miss Phil.-Universe, ..my top 5. choice is Skelly Ivy Florida fr. "Biliran"- dark counterpart of Miss Gloria Diaz (Ms. U. 1969).
My top 4. is Rabiya Mateo fr. "Iloilo City"- silent killer of the competition, ..after the show ..(my intuition is absolutely RIGHT !!!)
My top 3 choice is Michelle Theresa Imperial Gumabao fr. "Quezon City"- fr. the pre-pageant, she's so popular I could say, a little similarities to Miss Julian San Jose (but after the show, I felt disappointed to her diva attitude and immaturity, as well Sandra Lemonon accusing someone else sabotage the judging system.)
My top 2. choice is Alaiza Flor Malinao fr. "Davao City"- She looks like a real "Perfect Tan Supermodel" very fit for any International league of Beauties Globally.
And my FIRST CHOICE is APRIL SMITH of "CEBU" - a dark counterpart of Miss Alma Conception, indeed she's so pretty ( but the 11 panel of judges, I don't know their criteria of choosing w/c ladies could excel or their bets.)
..But I'm not against with Rabiya's winning, I could say that..she deserves it, ..the title and the 👑 crown. ( I realized to support the Asian ladies fr. Miss Phil.-"Rabiya Mateo", Miss Japan- Yuki Sonoda and Miss Indonesia- Ayu Maulida Putri fr. the upcoming pageantry of the UNIVERSE !!!
