She is so gorgeous. I love her, she is one of my favorite characters. 7:46 - It was an amazing moment! I actually have a soft spot for INTJs, I can't help it, they such attractive and unique thinkers. For me, as an INFJ, TJ types are always more attractive than TP types. Perhaps because I am also of the Judging type. Besides, how can you resist someone who can play chess in his mind? This is a fatal - brutal shot right in the heart)
People here share chess memories so I will share too). In my childhood, my dad (ISTJ) taught me a lot, including chess. I played no bad, but from time to time I had memory problems, and for chess it is important to have a good memory. Therefore, unfortunately, I could not develop in chess, although it was very interesting for me. But even with a memory problem, I often won over people simply because I understood their way of thinking. I played impromptu tournaments at home with my father (ISTJ), grandfather (ESTJ), cousin (ISTP) and older brother (INFP). It was fun. I always win my older brother) When I was at university, I shared a room with a girl (INTP), now we are best friends. She did't know how to play chess, but somewhere in the second month of our life together, we already played chess. I showed how to play. It's funny how surprised she was when I won, especially at the beginning. She said "You don't look so logical, why are you playing so well?") - And I replied that: "If you want to understand the real me and my thoughts, you should not look only at my external manner)". This is a trick that works well. As an INFJ I can be very emotional because I have a strong Fe function, but no one canceled my Judging and combination of Ni and Ti. I love chess, so many of my good memories are associated with it. I just wanted to share this.
The moment I read "But even with a memory problem, I often won over people simply because I understood their way of thinking", I instantly wondered if you're an INFJ. My thoughts feel validated after reading through your story. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Me an INTJ who only grew up playing checkers most of my life thanks to my dad, watched this show and Beth was relatable, influenced me to play chess as well during the corona times, I learned it for a year and I'm still learning, I absolutely love every minute of it.
INTJs have a hard time staying connected to people beyond the 5 people who hound us down and force themselves into our lives. Also, ISTJs and INTJ don't get along naturally. The ISTJ loves their rules and routines and the INTJ breaks them, which upsets the ISTJ a lot. And lastly, because the janitor (ISTJ-third Fi) never showed her any affection nor care. Merely acted like he kinda tolerated her... now he cared about her on the inside but wouldn't show it much if ever. So thats why she didn't keep in touch.... and that's why it was so hard at the end.... all those clippings of newspapers after he died shows he cared about her very much.... but never expressed that. INTJs are blind to emotions of others... she can't read his secret carrying feelings.... yes she is similar to him in this regard (third Fi also) but he was the paternal figure... if he cared about her as a protégé at least he should have shown her more tenderness as a child. I suppose that's the tragedy of INTJ-ISTJ relationships.... 3rd Fi... means no one ever shows the other any affection.... and so they all think they mean nothing to eachother. Also the Si rule breaking of INTJs really anger ISTJs at times.... its not a good pairing naturally.
@@grazynawolska8160 I'm not saying she should have been lovey dovey with him but she was successful in life because he was her mentor and taught her chess. It's got a lot to do with gratitude and not taking for granted. Would sending a letter or dropping by once at least to thank him be a lot? I don't know how people get into relationships with Intjs if they are so uncaring and ungrateful. Same with Istjs it seems.
@@sash8099 Well it wouldn't be a show if it didn't have emotional tragedy.... there needs to be conflict otherwise it's just a report on how well people get along lol. As for relationships ... INTJs pair up well with other Ns... because they share that N which helps them connect on a personal and then emotional level. As for ISTJs.... they find someone who loves their societal rules and tradition and usually religion just as much. But they aren't a match for each other because of the double curse of not being able to access others' emotions and not showing their own feelings either...
@@grazynawolska8160 Most Intjs I know ended up with Esfjs. I know several such couples. I guess Esfjs don't mind being taken for granted. While there's chemistry with intuitive types but intuitives types usually will not put up with being shown no gratitude or affection. One of my Esfj coworkers is with an Intj and I get annoyed at how selfish he is. I don't know how she tolerates it.
@@sash8099 honestly I couldn't do that to myself and marry an ESFJ lol.... 🤣 It's hard for people with Fe preference to understand Fi preference.... Fi will care about how they feel first. Group harmony be damned.... it seems selfish but on the flip side Fe users have Ti, they care a out doing what they thing is correct, others needs be damned.... trust me, that's really hard and selfish too from Te perspective. Impossible to work with too... inmovable on group needs... Ti at work is like "I don't care about what other people need from this.... I just care what I want!!!". It's soooo selfish. Te users such as INTJs ENTJs ESTJs and ISTJs do a lot for other people. God knows the amount of problem fixing and helping I do all day everyday for other people, its exhausting and beats you down after a few decades. So if you don't see your friends Husband doing things for his family and wife... then ok, he's selfish for sure. Most Te types sacrifice for people and do a lot for them. They just don't do emotional expression well. Their love is in the doing, in action.

I’m an intj (not female) and I absolutely suck at chess. None of my planning skills or meticulous attention to detail seem to carry over and it’s infuriating when people that I know I’m smarter than beat me! Beth has however, convinced me to start learning to play
This seems to be a series but for INTP I can't think of a more perfect representation than Ranpo Edogawa (he's an anime character). Like he's funny, chaotic and so smart
As an INFP I'm surprise by how long it took for my INTJ friend to beat me at chess. I know how to play but I never won even a single match. She always wins but it takes her so long to think that I just get bored 100% of the time.
6:12 i related to this so fucking much, i often answer questions so fast yet so quiet that they straight up just dont hear it. that or sometimes it turns out that they still have something to add to their question so they ignore me in order to complete their full thought.
I started it. I am getting good with precision and learning how to use angles, cushion and impact from different balls to score what I want. It's not easy but fun experience. People are kinda surprised that I go to billard alone but for me it's more time to practice and well, I tried to tag someone but now this someone is mad at me. I will hang out with some friends and play with them once in a while.
Hehe well this scene alone reminds me to say "I miss you too" really fast.... like really fast to get through the awkwardness, but its important to share. Probably words of affection are their love language so you just have to say it to show that you care... and you do care right? You know you do.... so tell them so in their language :) they have Fe... they need to feel the emotions of others....
As I recently learned about being an INTJ, I recognise so much of this in myself. And I could definitely out-chess someone (and out-poker most, for that matter). Or at least believe I could.
INTJs: INFJ here. Is that stubborn lightning-round back-and-force thing common for y'all? Example Beth/INTJ: "Give me X." Stranger: "You can't have X." Beth/INTJ: "Why not?" Stranger: "Because Y says you can't." Beth/INTJ: "Does Z say I can't?" Stranger: "No, but-" Beth/INTJ: "Then put me under Z." Stranger: 😒😒😒

Also something I feel bad if I make someone upset still Idc at all. I just know. Need to show a positive emotion and play the life game. And work work work. Finish the game of life with good ending. Can anyone give me more tips how I can be sure I'm INTJ. I'm kinda confident at it and a same time I'm not.
It makes me sad since I am an INTJ woman but doesn't have any interest in playing chess. I would rather dissect my broken computer or laptop. And make them run smoothly again. Well, my son is an INTP-A. His good at it. It makes me feel I'm also good at it since we both have the same genes. lol

@@1594simonsays I always found it fascinating but never got the chance to study it. My siblings used to play when I was a kid so I learnt the basic rules from them but never learnt any specific strategy or tactics.
The scene when Beth walked in the canteen with that background noise aka ESFP girly whispering really broke my Fi heart. By looking at this video I'm now 100% sure I'm an INTJ, it seems someone just made a movie out of my thinking process, along the daily social awkwardness I experience. It is truly eye-opening, I guess we look cold and distant because we are set on our goals, while our emotions simmer within ourselves.

I'm INTJ and only healthy INTJ I ever met was a woman with schizophrenia and depression ...the men were all yikes and not on any meds because "they don't need that"... all very rude and into conspiracies hard core, most even expressed violent ideation against others ... hope they were joking.
She's just a toxic INTJ actually

She is so gorgeous. I love her, she is one of my favorite characters. 7:46 - It was an amazing moment!
I actually have a soft spot for INTJs, I can't help it, they such attractive and unique thinkers. For me, as an INFJ, TJ types are always more attractive than TP types. Perhaps because I am also of the Judging type. Besides, how can you resist someone who can play chess in his mind? This is a fatal - brutal shot right in the heart)
Is it just me or do INTJs and INFJs just gravitate toward each other? 2 of my closest friends in high school were INFJs

@@celeste524 Thank you for sharing my experience with me by reading
You're so lucky, my dad (ESFP) only taught me to boost his ego and give me sermons whenever he won :/ so I stop playing, It became annoying
INTJ the movie
Me an INTJ who only grew up playing checkers most of my life thanks to my dad, watched this show and Beth was relatable, influenced me to play chess as well during the corona times, I learned it for a year and I'm still learning, I absolutely love every minute of it.
She should have kept in touch with the old janitor who taught her Chess. I don't understand why she didn't.
It's hard for people with Fe preference to understand Fi preference....
As an ENFJ that fell in love with my INTJ friend and he wasn't ready and broke my heart.. The connection between the enfj and the intj visualised here is so nice to finally see as I never have seen it portrait before only talked about alot. I also absolutely loved this serie.

Its an underrated combo. As an intj I love and am naturally drawn to enfjs. Its typically mutual. And an unspoken magnetism.
I’m an intj (not female) and I absolutely suck at chess. None of my planning skills or meticulous attention to detail seem to carry over and it’s infuriating when people that I know I’m smarter than beat me! Beth has however, convinced me to start learning to play

As an INFP I'm surprise by how long it took for my INTJ friend to beat me at chess. I know how to play but I never won even a single match. She always wins but it takes her so long to think that I just get bored 100% of the time.
i love everything being an intj except the part where i cant understand social relations.
1:21 is like I asked you something but it doesn’t mean that I want you to sit in front of me and start talking.
I am both proud to be an intj watching this while still feeling boxed in watching this 🥴
Line would have been much better if he had said teasing my rook. Then her reply would be...satisfying.
6:12 i related to this so fucking much, i often answer questions so fast yet so quiet that they straight up just dont hear it. that or sometimes it turns out that they still have something to add to their question so they ignore me in order to complete their full thought.
Sometimes i hate my brutal honesty, i hurt people im so sorry 😭😭
Well, ain't this a lovely mirror on myself. Minus the chess. Instead, my strategy game of choice is billiards.
Loved this movie! I relate to her so much.

7:46 i laughed so hard hahaha thats literally me and my bf! Hes an entp we get along so well
But i come across as cold and distant all the time
I cant help it :/
He says it hurts him but it doesnt mean i dont love him
Hehe well this scene alone reminds me to say "I miss you too" really fast.... like really fast to get through the awkwardness, but its important to share. Probably words of affection are their love language so you just have to say it to show that you care... and you do care right? You know you do.... so tell them so in their language :) they have Fe... they need to feel the emotions of others....
i guarantee you the esfp still had no idea what she was talking about
As I recently learned about being an INTJ, I recognise so much of this in myself. And I could definitely out-chess someone (and out-poker most, for that matter). Or at least believe I could.
INTJs: INFJ here. Is that stubborn lightning-round back-and-force thing common for y'all?
Example
Beth/INTJ: "Give me X."
Stranger: "You can't have X."
Beth/INTJ: "Why not?"
Stranger: "Because Y says you can't."
Beth/INTJ: "Does Z say I can't?"
Stranger: "No, but-"
Beth/INTJ: "Then put me under Z."
Stranger: 😒😒😒
This is a great idea for videos!

._. as INTJ woman. I feel different to other INTJ. I don't even sure I'm Intj. I repeat the personality test many times and try other personality test. It's still INTJ...
I mean I don't want people think I'm rude and Cold. Let say- I'm fake person. I don't trust them nor like people around me and they annoyed me.
If they saw me sad or not in mood. They f*cking talk to me in loop. I mean I don't need there sympathy. And yeah I'm just fine. I just not in energy to show my other face.

@@boxy_tocs2035 There are a lot of downsides to being INTJ is why we don't recommend it. Catherine above is speaking in metaphors but basically she feels like a space alien, always rational, always logical and always out of place.
