The restaurant and food looks great however I was disappointed when visiting with my husband last summer. We were told that we could not order any curries or main meals if we sat outside. Honestly that put us off straight away so we left and are not planning on going back. Seems to me that they reserve outdoor spaces for influencers and larger groups than 2.
you should give it another try, by booking a table by phone and insist on eating outside!! that might just work!! or pretend to be a youtuber with yr camera +tripod, plus selfie stick!!
Ali as if you rate this place, went here and it was a big let down, lamb chops left a pungent smell that certain places have if not cooked properly, surprised why you havent been tipu sultans, on another level to this place
Vital information!! Smallheath is always packed with cars so parking is hard to find but the store next to this restaurant 'al halal supermarket' does free parking upto I think 2hrs and is right next to the place..
I'm Filipino American and my favorite foods are Trinidadian, Sri Lankan, Thai, Malaysian and Jamaican. I love all types of South Asian foods from Pakistani kebabs to Sri Lankan karis, but I agree with you, Biryani isn't that special to me either. I don't think rice is enough to blow my tastebuds away, I need some type of sauce or curries with my carbs.
They give you the authentic feel of Pakistan !!!. You have to have rats running around your feet that way you get the feeling of being in Pakistan and you save on the airline ticket 😂😂😂😂😂
Hi Ali! I’ve never seen a restaurant with such a diverse choice of seating, how different! The mixed grill looked on point as did the curry! I don’t know your reason for disliking Biryani, mine is it’s just like pilau rice with lumps of meat in it. At least that’s what I’ve found in all the restaurants I’ve visited, very disappointing!

Is HMC certified Halal certified? I’m not a Muslim but just find Halal meat much better quality. Probably why I buy my meat from a halal butcher which is not only cheaper I get bigger portions of meat🙂
@@matty6848 hey, HMC is considered the highest authority in approving Halal certification in the uk, however there are other authorities in the uk also!
Had did that potato get a heyman lol...I went few days back and the potato that was on the mixed plate tasted like it was frozen out a packet and heated up...food overpriced.
I went to alam, was not a fan of it, way too upscale and pretentious, I ordered a steak and it was a stingy portion and it looks like they sliced half of it and sold the other half. Very overrated, would strongly recommend Oadby sports lounge in Leicester, there sizzlers and grills are unrivaled
Man said dippypoo 😂😂
Hey guys! I’ll be showing off some UK based reviews for a week or two! Make sure to see the AMAZING mains in this one!! 😊

Absolutely blows my mind that the building you walked into is on the Coventry Road 😂😂😂

We agree there on both points for sure!
The cabins remind me of Saidpur Village in Islamabad
Nice!
I love chaat
You could get more views+subscribers if you mentioned the prices! just a thought!
Will do for next time!
Food is average at best. Paid reviews hence the talk up, I have tried Alums on a few occasions it has been a major disappointment every time.
