  • Civilians on board Philippine fishing boats sailed on Wednesday (May 15) towards a disputed reef - Scarborough Shoal -in the South China Sea. This comes two weeks after the latest maritime incident between the Philippines and China. Associate Professor Eduardo Araral from the National University of Singapore's Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy noted that the two countries have taken a strong stance but that they are "nowhere near any solution". The best way forward for now is to go back to the arrangements they have had in the past to allow time and space for diplomatic solutions, he told CNA's East Asia Tonight.

If China lost their claim in the International Court, means YOU -CHINA was not able to justify your claim! YOU DO NOT OWN IT! You have intimidated a smaller and powerless nation to enter into an unconscionable “agreement” and use it to assert your ownership, when in fact, the only purpose of the agreement if it is even real, is to share the natural resources that rightfully and LEGALLY belongs to the people of the PHILIPPINES! And let us not talk about the irreparable DAMAGE you have caused to your so-called “SCS”! How dare you call it GOODWILL!

Scarbrough shoal is part of the Philippines EEC. China should respect the UNCLOS arbitral ruling and should stop bullying the Philippines.

Filipinos should rally behind marcos' actions in the west Philippine sea... We should not allow Chinese propaganda to shatter our resolve and unity..
