I always sort of wondered why the stock components on the 315 were so bad... now I know. Not sure why they went stealth on something without stealth armor, but at least it gives me an idea on how to use mine to turn a bit more profit.
Stealth armor isn't a thing yet, I think its coming in 3.10. The components determine EM and IR. The issue is they are the shity stealth components lol. The grade 1 stealth components are mush better.
It is a made up unit (or has no unit) ; if you see the mined raw values of coolers, they show units in the millions (e.g 1.800.000) so that's why we say 1800k/s. Also, if it was Kelvin/s we could reach absolute 0 in less than a second and reduce our IR to 0 (it would probably need cooling curves where hotter stuff cools faster than cooler stuff) It is the same with the power generators using pwr/s instead of Joules/s -> made up units so we can have made up (more fun/less realistic) mechanics
NOPE! the game data value for the snow blinds for example is 170,000. Since this number is stupidly long for no reason Erkul reduces it to 170k with a lowercase k signifying Kilo. kilo is a denotation for a 1,000 so we are simply stating that it is 170 thousands. 170 x 1,000 = 170,000. This could in theory be 100,000 cheeseburgers because this is a video game. And in-case this doesn't convince you. The surface of our sun is 5,700 kelvins. And the Size 3 coolers the Chill Max's have a cooling rate of 17,000,000... Cheese Burgers... Sorry for the rant this is the 100th time Ive answered this and have now decided to either add a disclaimer to future load-out guides or just call it kelvins. Or maybe cheese burgers lol. FYI I also thought it was kelvins too.
Great video, like the newer format which seperates the reviews from the loadout suggestions. I also like how you've focused on stealth here! Without doing the maths myself, what was the total drop of EM and IR signature? It seemed pretty significant. Do we know how these effect gameplay yet? Do ships with lower EM and IR have a longer detection range? Do missiles have harder times locking on? Will NPCs ignore you more? Either way, great job!
The 315p always seemed to me, to be more like a small smuggling ship than an "exploration" ship. Its like if drake made origin. Lol. You can get in all black it comes with stealth components, is decently fast, has a tractor beam and high cargo capacity for its size. It pretty much a mini Cutlass. XD
@@SubliminaLstv 315p is okay... the video is sooooooooo good! Using this ship with stealth components is such a good idea! Makes me want to buy one just to do something like this with it. All your loadout videos are awesome. What ship are you doing next!?
SubliminaL, Please check out what happens to your detection range when you press SUPPRESS OVERALL in your HEAT menu. I think you will find that others will have to get within 1800 meters to see you, unless they ping you.
Nah that will take too much time and if they were separate videos the YT algorithm would shit on the second videos. I just plan on reviewing them when 3.10 comes out. I was going to do the Khartu and Blade but they are in a shitty place right now. Will review them in their best light come 3.10.
This is not the case. having an em signature as low as you can have in this ship you will be less detectable. The factors are the scouting ships scanner and your ships EM and IR signature. Ive done test on it in 3.9.
Oh I agree 100% I just found out that you can make around 40k per run filling up a 315p going from jumptown (if you can find it) to grim hex selling WiDoW. And revised this is great for beginner to intermediate players. Also not my cup of tea but some people are having luck bounty hunting players with it. Those are the only 2 things I could see using it for. Also I guess if your in a defenseless ship like a drake herald or racing ship goodnto go stealth just to avoid player conflict. Anyway I rarely use stealth and agree with you but it doesnt apply to 95% of what we can do in the PU today.
@@SubliminaLstv IMO the best smuggling route is probably the Hurston to Lyria loop at the moment, as Widow has a low demand and refresh for sale. You can get two personal box missions from R&D Orinth worth 30K, deliver to The Orphanage Lyria. Then, fly to Paradise Cove, fill up with a split of Neon and E'Tam. Back to R&D Orinth to sell. R&D Orinth has the highest demand and refresh for demand for Neon and E'Tam, so you can do a 20/20 SCU split with only a total 5 min wait time for selling. Total profit is ~ 130K in a Cutlass for one loop! For a 315p doing E'Tam only it'd be like 66K.
So the Erkul fit now uses the Atlas QT Drive rather than the Spectre. It's still pretty fast and it'll let you do the whole system in a full tank jump, but doesn't it also make your signature significantly bigger?
Hi , having trouble with the weapons, the scorpion is a gatling not a repeater right? Just wanna double check that? Also I bought the gimbals but don't appear anywhere in the load out page. Also on my previous standard package it says they are size 3 , will that make a difference when buying and equipment the weapons you recommend as they are size 2 , cheers love the vids
How does the stealth work on this? Should I switch out my 325A for this model? For just the extra cargo I wouldn't think about it but that tractor beam and stealth, really some USP's for this models I presume?
Hi, I do own an Avenger Titan. It's a wonderful ship... I really like the 300 series but there is unfortunately no objective reason to choose one instead of the Titan (ability to put a land vehicle in the cargo bay, decent missile load and gun mounts to name some of them). I feel the 300 series are really different. Not best but... well I'm considernig "upgrading". The 300i is nice but... I like the firepower of the 350a and the ability to make a stealth ship out a 325p. Indeed I would like to have some of your feedback on the good trade-off between a "stealth" 315p (if it's really stealth) and a 325a. Thanks !
There would be no difference between the stealth of a 315p or 325a except for the EM IR sig of the bigger weapon on the nose but that marginal. You can use the same components I used here on the 325a if you want stealth. The question is do you want to smuggle or do you want to fight? You should not be fighting in the 315p it is a scout, smuggling, or exploring ship. Where the 325a is just a fighter.
@@SubliminaLstv Any ship can use stealth components now... But CIG planned to change that : www.robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/engineering/16193-The-Shipyard-Other-Ship-Items
Guillaume Perron I have the Titan and I’m considering exchanging for the 315P because as I progress and add more ships to my livery the titan will be surpassed, but the 315p can still hold a niche.
Great Vid, again! Question: is their anything (other than cargo space ) that would limit this from being functional for a 325a? Thinking it could also serve as an stealth escort for illegal activity
YESSSSS!!! The currently useless tractor beam on the nose vs a size 4 hard-point on the 325a. This is a terrible fighter. If you want a stealth 325a just add these components to a 325a!
Not 1 of these items can you get at New Babbage Omega Pro, I am standing here right now and none of these are here. Either they re-named them or re-classified them since the video was released, for anyone trying to run there to get them.
Note that as of Aug. 17th 2022 I can't change any of the weapons, canons or otherwise. Either it can't be changed now or I'm presently bugged. Hard to tell.
Do you need to adjust power-settings down in order to "stealth" with your suggested loadout, or do the default power settings provide enough of a signature reduction?
Adjusting your power settings does nothing other than limit your energy capacity to a certain point. What you really need to do is go to your heat menu on your MFD and click on SUPPRESS IR SIGNATURE. That will lower the amount of heat you produce and reduce your detection range.
Like what? There is no longer a definitive weapon choice like in 3.8 with mass drivers. CF series, Attritions, Nuetrons (for really close range, effective on quick ships.) are all great options for energy weapons.
The units that would make sense are kJ/s (kilojoules per second) or kW (kilowatts). "Heat" or properly thermal energy is defined using the Joule, and transfer of heat has units of J/s or Watts (W), where 1 W = 1 J/s. If we're dealing with thousands of Joules per second, we'd use kJ/s or kW. FYI, 1 kJ is enough thermal energy to raise 1 liter of water 1 degree Celsius (or Kelvin), so a ship cooler with 170 kJ/s (170 kW) cooling would cool 170 liters (small bathtub) down 1 C every second or 1 liter down 170 C every second, an order of magnitude that sorta makes sense given the scale of these ships. It takes a lot of energy to heat up water by the way. I would not call it Kelvins, but calling the "k" a made up unit of thermal energy in the game makes sense, insofar that you ignore that "k" means "kilo" or thousand in the real world. Another reason why Kelvins per second isn't a good unit is that it doesn't factor in mass, e.g. it takes more cooling to cool down a swimming pool of water 1 K than a cup of water 1 K.
What Chris L says is true. Also should note that the sun is 5,700 kelvins and the human body is 300 kelvins. What needs to be said is that when I say 170k/s the game files say 170,000 so I'm using a lowercase k as a denotator for 1,000. The largest cooler in the game provides 17,000,000 cooling. This could cool the surface of our sun and its core. Since this is a video game its code doesn't require a unit of measurement so we won't know until CIG responds to a question or updates our MFDs with info.
@chris you seem to know more about this than most. What are your thoughts on one size 3 cooler having a 17,000,000 cooling rate per second? Could this be measured in Joules or Watts?
@@SubliminaLstv It seems that Star Citizen is using the International System of Units, or SI units used in science. If they say a size 3 cooler has a cooling rate of 17,000,000, then I'd be inclined to say that the base unit is Watts and that cooler has 17 MW (megawatts) of cooling, where "mega" means "million". A cooler with a cooling rate of 17,000 I'd describe as 17 kW (kilowatts). Love the videos by the way. They've helped me to upgrade several of my ships recently.
Thank you! I think I'll ask some devs on spectrum if watts is indeed the unit. Until then I'll keep saying the unitless k/s so that I don't have to say 17 million and sound like an idiot.

If someone can confirm with the current build I would appreciate it. I really want a 300 series at some point.
von Rosphe Because cargo goes in the cargo bay? I can put my lawn mower in the kitchen if it keeps falling out of the garage... but do you really want it there?
I agree with the atlas for 95% of ships however I wanted a stealth drive and only do very short jumps and would be a millionaire before using a full tank the way I use the 315p. Range is useless since I have to land so often to save my progress for an imminent 30k.
@@SubliminaLstv I put a quantum drive in my carrack and it disappeared as well as when I put guns on my 300i. I also asked on reddit about this and most/all of them said that its a known bug that you lose parts you put on your ship. Is there any way to overcome this issue?

NOPE! the game data value for the snow blinds for example is 170,000.
FYI I also thought it was kelvins too.
aha someone is on my side! Furthermore a game will never need a unit it only needs the integer.
+1 for cheeseburgers
Ahha i didn't know that. It just made sense for it to be Kelvin😅 but than the sun story wouldn't add up
Great video, like the newer format which seperates the reviews from the loadout suggestions.
First!
Not fair
😂😂
The 315p always seemed to me, to be more like a small smuggling ship than an "exploration" ship. Its like if drake made origin. Lol.
You can get in all black it comes with stealth components, is decently fast, has a tractor beam and high cargo capacity for its size. It pretty much a mini Cutlass. XD
Agreed!
What's this, a notification from RUclips? Is it Sub? Because if it is, we're starting right now..
😀
Sooooooooooooooooooo good!
Thanks!... unless our talkin about the ship... then OK!
@@SubliminaLstv 315p is okay... the video is sooooooooo good! Using this ship with stealth components is such a good idea! Makes me want to buy one just to do something like this with it. All your loadout videos are awesome. What ship are you doing next!?
That is a secret sir!
Thanks bro!
SubliminaL, Please check out what happens to your detection range when you press SUPPRESS OVERALL in your HEAT menu.
I think you will find that others will have to get within 1800 meters to see you, unless they ping you.
U should do the Alien ships before 3.10 and after 3.10 can u do the Khartu al it’s my favorite
Nah that will take too much time and if they were separate videos the YT algorithm would shit on the second videos. I just plan on reviewing them when 3.10 comes out. I was going to do the Khartu and Blade but they are in a shitty place right now. Will review them in their best light come 3.10.
I look forward to a time when stealth actually has some merit in the game. At least how I see it currently, it doesn't mean much. Great review though!
This is not the case. having an em signature as low as you can have in this ship you will be less detectable. The factors are the scouting ships scanner and your ships EM and IR signature. Ive done test on it in 3.9.
@@SubliminaLstv Yes, I'm sure all of that works.. What I'm saying is that in my experience, the game play isn't really there yet to warrant it.
Hi,
I do own an Avenger Titan.
SubliminaL I would like to have a ship that allows me to avoid having to fight. ;)
@@SubliminaLstv Any ship can use stealth components now... But CIG planned to change that :
www.robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/engineering/16193-The-Shipyard-Other-Ship-Items
Guillaume Perron I have the Titan and I’m considering exchanging for the 315P because as I progress and add more ships to my livery the titan will be surpassed, but the 315p can still hold a niche.
If you weren't going for stealth, what fit do you recommend?
Great Vid, again! Question: is their anything (other than cargo space ) that would limit this from being functional for a 325a? Thinking it could also serve as an stealth escort for illegal activity
YESSSSS!!! The currently useless tractor beam on the nose vs a size 4 hard-point on the 325a. This is a terrible fighter. If you want a stealth 325a just add these components to a 325a!
@@SubliminaLstv I did read that the 325a wasn't able to load stealth class of components...
Not 1 of these items can you get at New Babbage Omega Pro, I am standing here right now and none of these are here. Either they re-named them or re-classified them since the video was released, for anyone trying to run there to get them.
Wil you do the same video for the 325a?
P.s love your videos
What @DJake Anthony said. Great for scouting out if a location has players that you may want to avoid.
@@SubliminaLstv Kewl! Thanks all. Once I get a PC that can actually run Star Citizen, I will try to put your advice to good use.
Why to you recommend attrition for laser? Aren't there better options?
Like what? There is no longer a definitive weapon choice like in 3.8 with mass drivers. CF series, Attritions, Nuetrons (for really close range, effective on quick ships.) are all great options for energy weapons.
Love this ship ... Really!
For getting around its a perfect ship
Its my only purshase in this game upgrade from an aurora starter package i dndt regret anything!
I need a ship for cargo transport. Who is better the aegis titan or the 315p?
Minor correction: It's kelvin per second, not kilo per second, denoted as k/s
kelvin is a unit of temperature.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kelvin
Until then I'll keep saying the unitless k/s so that I don't have to say 17 million and sound like an idiot.
whis there any use for stealth in the current build?
Tractor beam in the nose is a scanner?
Would you recommend just buying the stock loadout for the 315? CIG really overpriced the upgrade packages with the 300 series website customization.
DON'T EVER BUY A UPGRADE PACKAGE! You can always spend a little time in the verse and earn enough for a perfect loadout. Especially with this ships 12scu.
Plus they change things about the meta that can affect the upgrade packages. When they redid QT drives it ruined the XC upgrade.
How does this build stand up in 3.15?
Pew Pew Pew!
Bang bang bang!
Does this still apply today
hi, is this loadout still good to use, or should i wait for a new video?
I have a 300i can I use the same components to get the same Stealth effect?
yes!
SubliminaL thank you. 👍🏻
None of these systems are located at New Babbages Omega Pro. Not a one
Give it the Obsidian Paintjob and call it Blackbird. 🤪
😀
Nooooo, Origin Jumpworks Gmbh would never sell smuggling ships to outlaws ;)
😉
Freaking genius!!
😁
Just don't put any boxes in the cargo hold.. You have been warned
When was the last time you did that. Ive heard it was fixed.
The bug shows active (5 months old) STARC-100921 I melted my 315p for a Titan because of that bug and the fact that the coffee maker and food processors dont effect thirst / hunger as of yet. If someone can confirm with the current build I would appreciate it. I really want a 300 series at some point.
I'll try it before my full review.
Why you don't put the boxes in the living area of the ship. You don't have to use the cargo hold for this.
von Rosphe Because cargo goes in the cargo bay? I can put my lawn mower in the kitchen if it keeps falling out of the garage... but do you really want it there?
350R, if you dont know then move on :p
Firefox or Atlas for quantum drive and dominance 3 fixed is better chioce, imo
I agree with the atlas for 95% of ships however I wanted a stealth drive and only do very short jumps and would be a millionaire before using a full tank the way I use the 315p. Range is useless since I have to land so often to save my progress for an imminent 30k.
315p is my starter and I will not upgrade...just add lol
😀
Aren't loading guides pointless because the components that you put on your ship just dissappear after a while?
That has not been the case for a couple of patches now.
what he said^
@@SubliminaLstv it still happens to me though?!
@@SubliminaLstv I put a quantum drive in my carrack and it disappeared as well as when I put guns on my 300i. I also asked on reddit about this and most/all of them said that its a known bug that you lose parts you put on your ship. Is there any way to overcome this issue?
It is possible to loose components due to bugs however I very rarely do and I'm constantly swapping them.
