There is a lot of safety in regards to the amount of fish they catch per season and year, herring is an over abundant fish and this one boat is not going to hurt the population. It’s been doing this for a while and there is still plenty of fish in the sea.
If you truly believe that you are deluded. Trawler fishing does not care what they catch it all dies and saying its a "abundant fish" does not mean you can fish it like this. Also I cannot remember a single time the quoter for any fish has gone up two years in a row. Its always catch less but not enough reduction to mean the fish stock replenish.
