I remember when they would always show the band during halftime. Even if the game was terrible you could always count on the marching band to put on a show.
Is everyone enrolled in Michigan University in the band and football team? Just the cost of the Sousaphone section alone is greater than the national debt.
I think the school has over 30,000 students and there are only 400 students in the Band and only about 1/2 of them make the 1/2 time show. They have to try out for it every week, even the seniors.

I really wish they would go back to using the snare drums that they used 50 years ago ... the new HIGH PITCHED ones sound like a kids toy . Also get rid of the multi sized tom racks and use the old single tom !

I think most of the instrument section of the music school is. It's a big music school.
