Yeah, because Schitt's Creek was really the brainchild of Daniel and Eugene Levy. It really became a real-life family affair. Dan's mom was on the writing team and so was his uncle, Eugene's older brother. Everyone clapped and hugged each other everytime Daniel and Eugene won something. So Schitt's Creek really became a family affair. And I can't over-emphasize that Daniel and Eugene did everything that they could to make sure that no homophobia was shown in their show for any reason. And that there was no ego was shown in their show either.

He should have won best lead in a comedy. I love the show and all the actors but Daniel/David is clearly the star and Eugene is awesome but a supporting role.
I think that the 4 of them are leads while the rest of the cast is supporting. However they nominated them in different categories so that they all had a chance of winning(which worked out in their favour), but I do think that in season 6 that Moira and Johnny were more supporting and David and Alexis were lead characters.
