I’ve been using my iPad Pro 2020 (12.9'', 4th generation), Apple Pencil 2 and some accessories for a month now, and I wanted to share my honest thoughts.
As many of you warned me in my iPad unboxing video, my Apple Pencil tip completely wore off, so I got some new tips as well as buds :)

All accessories I reviewed in this video were ordered from Amazon with the exception of the Miniso Wireless Mouse and Keyboard Set (which is 2x more expensive on Amazon than it is in-person for some reason).

Its actually like that with most paper like screen protectors so that's why they recommend you buy extra tips! It doesn't mean it's a bad screen protector, it's just they generally wear down the tip because of the material ❤
Yeah I bought the same protector she did and I had no trouble putting it on and I luckily had no bubbles but I heard with even the paperlike the tip wears easily so it’s definitely a common occurrence
i guess it's because it's textured, so it wears down the tips faster than if it was glossy

I’ve been using my Apple Pencil everyday for note-taking without a screen protector and my pencil tip is in perfect condition, so the screen protector is quite likely what caused the absolute destruction of your pencil tip. I like using it on the bear screen but it might not be for everyone, you can always buy replaceable tips from apple if you really like the paper-like protectors :)
I don’t think it is, I have the exact same screen protector and mine doesn’t ware down nearly as much! I’ve used the same one for a few months now and my tip is in perfect condition.

(7:49) I hated this too but you can turn of the switch language setting! Just make sure the keyboard is connected to the iPad, then go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Hardware keyboard > then toggle off the option to switch languages via the caps lock key.

I have the infiland case the same one if you wipe the inside of the case where the color looks faded with a rag light soap and water it should go back to it's original color just needs weekly cleaning the friction of the tablet scuffs it inside but it's not permanent I've even used hand sanitizer worked as well loved the video by the way

Although i use a glass screen protector for my ipad, i wrapped the pencil tip with washi tape to give it more friction. Also this helps to prevent the tip from damaging. Hope this helps :'D

I’ve been using the same apple pencil tip almost everyday for the last 2,5 years and never saw any wear and tear! This whole time I used a paperlike screen protector. So i really trust their brand and I recommend ☺️

To prevent from the damage of the pencil nib, I tried to wrap paper tapes on it. It works good with no effect on writing experience and you don’t have to pay a pretty penny on new nibs. But you need to re-wrap the tapes again and again.

Finally found someone who used the same screen protector I have and OMG I thought it was the protector and not me! I guess I’ll have to find one that will work better before I burn through another nib! Thank you for this review on these products!
Yayy I'm glad that the video helped! I'm using the official paperlike v2 now, and it feels muuuch better, but I'm having the same wearoff problems haha. We'll just need to innovate in new ways

I recommend that you should buy silicone nib caps for your Apple Pencil they keep the nib safe from breaking down

i love the honesty,,, but i saw how people said even the original paperlike film makes the apple pencil tip wears off faster like yours did... it’s just inevitable when using a matte or paperlike texture screen protector. i suggest you get some silicon tip for safety of your new pencil tip? and maybe you can review them. thank you and i love you so muchhh

I came to know about the pencil nib scratching because of this video. I'm so glad I did before I bought paperlike. I prefer writing on glass than buying multiple nibs I'm already broke enough lol. thnx for informing

Matte screen protectors give you a kind-of paper feeling without wearing off the tip of your pencil!!
I got the same paper like knockoff on amazon and thanks for showing the Apple Pencil tip coming off. I didn’t even think about such a thing happening or even think the screen would do that to the pencil tip.
I didn't really believe it would be an issue either! Let's search for some good tip covers together :(

hey, ik im late but i recommend using a silicone tip for the apple pencils tip. ive seen ppl use them. you just put it on the tip and write, draw etc.

My Apple Pencil tip is also dead and dented in many places because I left it in the back pocket of my BACKPACK?! I’m just gonna say, it isn’t our care it’s probably the material so definitely get a silicone tip to protect the Apple Pencil.

I have had my Apple Pencil for almost a year without changing the Tip and it’s perfect. Also i write in it everyday but I don’t have the paper like screen
all matte screen protector will wear off the pencil tip so you should buy a pencil tip covers (which are cheap btw) to protect it

I think Apple Pencil tip eventually wears out whether you use a screen protector or not. I recommend buying pencil tip covers to prevent it from wearing out. I have the same screen protector and I had been using my Apple Pencil for over a month since I bought it and there’s not a single damage to the tip as I’m using tip covers. It reduces the tapping noises when I’m writing on the screen protector.

The friction on the screen protector that wears down the nip happens even on the paper like. You have to buy a nib cover on Amazon. They usually come in a pack of multiple with an array of colors.

Although Paper-like is expensive it is worth the investment, plus they send you two sheets not just one.
I have paper like for my old 2018 cheap iPad and got the same that you have for my new iPad Pro which I haven’t had the chance to try yet because my iPad hasn’t arrived yet.
Omg Miniso always has such cute stuff. I fall into their traps every time 😭
I got a random paper feel screen protector from Amazon as well. I’ve only have my iPad for a few days and my pencil does show a bit of wearing down. But I like the feeling of the screen protector and it’s so much better from a glass screen, I’d recommend getting some replacement tips from Amazon or Apple they come in a pack of 4 and are $19 USD.
