2:24 combo drop.. CUT THE TAPE! CUT THE TAPE!
Lol
Best hwoarang trainer ever keep up the good work champ
I really needed this. Just got demoted from Raijin and back to eternal for the 3rd time now I'm back at Fujin. A Tekken God said I need to use more mids. I'll need to work on my defense for real. As soon as I get back to Raijin I'll definitely do more to improve my defense and safe options. Thanks for the helpful content as always Basuka.
Hey maybe my defensive Guide might be interesting for you? Keep on playing hwoarang, it's a long way to go but it's so much fun!
@@basuka93 I'll definitely keep playing him. I'll check out the guide after I get back from work. Thank you
Thanks again for the tips. I managed to 9-0 my rival with my new Hwoarang. Been using him for 2 weeks, but he might just be my best character. Just need to master JFSR.
Wow nice! Yes jfsr is too important not to use it
JFSR is easier in RFF than LFF.
Got Mighty Ruler this week all thanks to your videos Basuka. It's not much, but it's certainly further than I thought I could achieve. Big thanks :)
Congrats bro! Keep grinding, I’m sure you can go a long way 💪🏻 and thank you, really appreciated 🙏
Not optimizing combos ,or doing wrong option is my biggest problems with howrang :/ .great content those are some really good advice
Thanks a bunch man. Im a destroyer hwo but i still have these mistakes. Cheers
Great work man I loved it
I don't like how I'm being called out here.
But in absolute seriousness, thanks for pointing these out. Offense, I can work out by myself, but defense and ironing out bad habits takes top prioty on my list of things to do.
Haha sorry bro 😅 it takes time to really understand some points here but you'll get it down I'm sure
Thanks man. Now i know why i stuck at this rank. I do all 5 mistakes 😢🥺😭
Thank you so much, I learned a lot from your videos
Thanks man means a lot 🙏
Quick video yet very helpful. 😃
Bro i love your tekken tips vids.
Thanks for all these great lessons bro!!
May I request a RFF strategy guide/tips & tricks
Sounds good
dont play hwoarang but this is a good ass guide man, all of these reasons are why i see hwos with 2k wins in green to red ranks never improving.
Thank you! Yes I wish I could reach out to them to help tbh
Nice video my bro. This is a very important guide
this is a jewel dude thanks
Great video man. Helped me with a few things.
Hey thanks man!
I really really liked the intro were u put the jfsr shout I don’t know y u don’t use it anymore
Thank you for this
Twaaahh!! Army😂
I'm average at best. In Tekken 8 just MightyRuler but I play Hwoarang not like most with full offense but rather wait for a mistake behind guard/BACKLASH. Video Is still up to date in 2024 and T8
present Hwoarang main here
6. Choose the awful outfit as default
LOL.
The only right outfit is default dobok
While i really like you did this, and everything that's in the list are true and i myself have made those mistakes, however on the Top 2 one, Some players when in a match and manage to launch a combo, they will have this "auto-pilot" mindset on their mind, wherein they were so into the game/match their mind would just let it do the work, for example, Me, a hwo player, i've been playing and practising Hwoarang for like a month or so, i watched and checked all of his possible combos and practised some of them, then i get into a match, the match will start, a few jabs and pokes here and there, and suddenly i managed to fish a launch for a combo opportunity, however, i didn't quite think through what combo should i go for after a b4 launch, so i just let my fingers and mind do the work because i was so into the round i wasn't prepared for a combo, so i did a 62 dmg combo with manageable button inputs instead of a 68 or 71 combo with more technical inputs, but hey if i can win the round with my pokes and rushdown i can win anyway. So, i hope my thought in clear hahaha, This auto-pilot mindset thing is not really bad, its just that the mind would store in a more manageable combo for that specific player, because its either easy for it to do and memorize or it has good damage but with a few practise, and if you force yourself to do that 71 dmg combo in a real match, then your auto-pilot mind would store in that combo because of how you adapt yourself to memorize that combo :) Though, i'm not saying the Top 2 is wrong and it shouldn't be a mistake, im just saying this because it's related to this thought i had ^^ still Great video and ty to whoever had the time to read this!
Hey thanks so much for this feedback! Very interesting points actually. It happens every now and then to auto pilot with a combo but being able to choose what combo you want to do will do wonders for you especially when you consider wall carry or when the opponent could be killed with a right combo.
But I understand you, it will just take very much practice to be able to chose between combos in certain situations. To make my point more clear I would like u to check out my combo videos with BTS Jin and Chafai...
However thanks so much for your time to share your opinion ☺
@@basuka93 Thank you for seeing my comment hahaha, i will check out that video! Keep up the videos i have been watching your vids since like this quarantine happened, Keep safe! 😀
I'm not great...but after 45 loses to higher ranked player with over 2600 Ws....I won...1 time...that felt good....or did he let me win?
Don’t count too much on wind and loses, it’s more about the things you take from each game
1:40 I tried 2-3h to do RFF f3 after S! But I stille can't do it, you know some video tutorial for that and is it possibile to do it with pad? Cuz I can't buffer it
Also what is the best punisher for slides like Law's and Dragunov. What is the best move to do after LFS f3 and what are the frame traps for RFS 2 LFS f3 and RFF f3?
You have to press f,f, 3+4, F+3
So the f,f , is a Little dash to close distance, 3+4, is to get the right foot forward extension of the combo. This shouldn’t be too hard, I’m sure you’ll get it 🙂
I did a punishment guide for hwoarang, you’ll find it in my playlist 🙏🙂
Wait, let me guess, going in flamingo after 1 2
How do u know ?! People keep ducking and launch me to death !!!!
7. Only knows D+4 4 and L+3 for launch for 13 years
Best moves from right flamingo?
RFS For me is 2,4 f back to RFS and 2, b4 (2 can be hit confirmed first then press b4).
The airthtow ender keeps dropping in the jfsr max damage combo all of a sudden. I was landing it consistently 2 days ago. Any suggestions on fixing that type of issue?
Ah sorry for late response.. maybe you do it too late?
If you have Twitter then you can send me a clip and I'll look over it
As someone getting into red rank.....I know i'm getting yelled at for using D+4, 4
Yeah that move is not so good, I recommend not using it. However, it is more useful in casual level.. don't stress yourself 😊 look at what level your opponent might be
It's like you made this video to talk shit about my hwoarang ;( , Gotta improve tho thx for the vid ❤
May i know the combo in 1:37?
Inputs are shown in the video, i hope they are helpful :)
@@basuka93 thanks :)
most hwoarang players i see are so number one lol. they do all that crap and not go for one frame trap or actual mixup..just a whole lot of nothing. Keep it short and sweet, but its still something fun to do i guess but i don't care for it. I'm new to hwo, i just thought maybe that's a hwoarang thing, was surprised to see it listed here.
I think it takes a while to progress with hwoarang and to realise that his "obvious strength" also is his big weakness. Being able to play around that and time strong offense well will take time but also make the difference
@@basuka93 yeah so true. Admitting will be hard for a lot i believe, i think many picked him up because of more the visual appeal of him. The fast kicks and such.
First
Hah my problem is too much pushing :)
is it weird that my kazumi has great defense and alright offense but my hwo has great offense but trash defense
Not at all. It's way harder to play a solid defends with hwoarang
Im in this video and i don’t like it xd
I also took clips where I look really bad haha but this is only to make some points more clear and to help players understand how to progress. :)
I would fanboy, if i was you.
Lol i meant that im the type of player who does all these mistakes xD. I was just making a meme but i understand it could be interpreted in a literal way hahaha
@@fenomencoyote7574 oh haha got me 🤣
not using mids , not punishing anything , spamming tthrows , using b3 as poking , spamming down jabs , 0 movement
mosst hwo ive seen in ranked no offense
Yep not using enough mids is correct, not punishing or very bad punishment like launch punishable sweep with ub3,3 ibsteaf of b3.
B3 as poking 🤣 but many Hwo players do random stuff that’s unfortunately true. 0 movement counts for about 90% of players overall tho imo. And his throws are super good tbh, if anything then it’s a mistake not using his complete throw game
@@basuka93 yes the movement part is where almost everybody have trouble at :P
