The Raptor has way more articulation than the other Broncos. Like not even close. I’ve had my 2021 Badlands for over 2 years now with a lift and build with 38s and I’ve probably spent more than I would have had I just bought the Raptor and upgraded tires . The only disadvantage of the Raptor IMO is the extra width when wheeling on tight trails. Otherwise, I’d go with the BRaptor if you like to off road and push yourself. If you only occasionally off-road and more of a mall crawler, I’d definitely stick with a lower trim.
Let’s be honest though, the majority of Jeep, Toyota, and Bronco buyers aren’t doing much off roading, if any.

In regards to your transmission being jerky, I had a bronco raptor last year and the transmission was awesome, I got rid of the bronco raptor(Long story) but I just purchased another bronco raptor same color as yours and I didn’t notice that the transmission on this one every once in a while can be jerky like you stated and since you brought this up in my other one did not do it I may bring it into the dealer have them check it out curious if you’ve had yours checked out? The bronco is awesome I love it I like it better than the 392 the only thing I miss on the 392 is that motor but the bronco is just a blast to drive, a set of eiboc Springs 2.56 inch lift in the front and 1.1 in the rear a zero offset tire with a 37 1350 in the vehicle comes to life especially driving it set in the performance modes, It shows a trailer great and off-road chatter bumps you don’t feel any chatter bumps it’s just amazing

I was going to get a bronco instead of my rubicon X but the wind noise killed it for me

Think the next video should be a calibration with WD to do a durability test on the bronco. Lol. Long live the 392!!

For an on- road comfortable ride, try the Rubicon 392 with the level-2 suspension rebuild from AEV and the 8100 bilstein shocks....
My own opinion is that it's amazing. The family loves it!

I'm sure that is great but no matter what suspension you have on a sold front axles I don't think it can compete with the IFS and the Raptor suspension in terms of just comfort!

Road trip Road trip!!! Lol. I honestly thought the bronco would get better mileage than 14. My guess is: twin turbo with a v6 sucks gas to make v8 power and it a big vehicle. Looks good, and I knew from the get go the 392 would still be ur favorite 👍

I was surprised on the MPG too, I’m glad you know me well enough to know the 392 can’t be beat!

Great review. Like the Raptor content and compare to the 392. I'm triggered about octane. Definitely think you should run 93 before a tune to compare how much difference a tune makes. Many think 87 is the same, but my 50,000 plus miles on the 2.3, 2.7 and now the 3.0 show a difference in stock tune. I'm sure the tune will get more out of the 3.0, but try a tank on 93 first and see if or how it's different for you. I just bought a Bronco Raptor and find the shifts to be smooth and i use 93. They will run on 87, but for me any turbo engine is rough and gets 10-15% less MPG. On the Braptor, that's only 2 mpg, but on a highway trip that extra 40 miles of range can help.

I appreciate your input, I will definitely try 93 in it to see if I can tell a difference!

Excellent review 👍 let’s get a new exhaust and CAI on the raptor and some kings or foxes and PSC hydraulic assist steering on the JL

What other settings did you use for steering, suspension and exhaust?

I throw it in Baja for the exhaust occasionally but for this trip I really just used the normal mode!
