  • A friend of mine, Michael Vochezer played some sound samples with the Telecaster Style Elektro-Acoustic Guitar. I built this guitar as I heared about Fenders Acoustasonic guitars and after I listened to their (im my ears) syntethical sound.
    The sound of the video has gone through no editing at all, the guitar was plugged into a amp.
    In the beginning, you hear the acoustic pick ups that sound a bit to crunchy, but with a slight twist of the Tone knob, they sound smooth.
    More about this guitar at www.ruhe-gitar...

    Have fun and let me know what you think in the comments!

    Sounds much better than the 3 Fender acoustasonics. So much less compressed and open. And the electric options are killer.

    Brilliant! Really great tonal choices. I’ve been wanting to do a guitar like this since I saw the acoustasonic. Instead of doing a kit guitar I decided to look for a low cost (cheap) complete guitar with a slab body, preferably mahogany that I could hollow out. It would have a bolt on neck and control cavity access in the back. The two guitars that immediately came to mind were the Epiphone Les Paul Special 1 P90 and the Dean Evo XM, both selling for around $150 US. I decided on the Epi because of the P90s. What I could not figure out was the top material, the sound hole placement, and the bridge style. Thank you for the great solutions.

    Fantastic build and great sounding guitar, very impressive and you should be proud of the best sounding Acoustic Telecaster on RUclips. I will attempt to build one in the future but I'm sure it will not be to your standards, but one thing that puzzles me is the wiring, could it be possible to include a wiring diagram at some time so that people like me who do not fully understand electronics can at least attempt to get close to the sound of your excellent guitar.

    Thank you for this Michael. I found the first tone (i assume piezo alone) a little high on the treble side (as they are) but every combination after that was great - a lot of variety, but all of them usable. This is a very nice sounding instrument. I am working the other way around - using a cheap bowlback guitar to add a neck humbucker to blend with the piezo for more mid and bass (I hope) for a jazzier sound. Hmm, I have a telecaster kit around the place... It doesn't sound as synthetic as the Fender for sure.

    • @MichaelRuhe1706
      @MichaelRuhe1706  4 года назад +2

      Hi PDP, thats true, the first sounds of the piezo are a little to "rough".... But if you just turn the tone poti a little bit, the harshness is gone and all is smooth - Michael, who played - just forgott to do that.

    • @mrz80

    Other then the rough sounding finger/fret board at the very end... this bad boy sounds pretty damn good. With the fender version costing $2g's, yea the fender is dialed in more aesthetically ... but 2000$ dollars ? Come on!
    Great job sir.

    • @MichaelRuhe1706
      @MichaelRuhe1706  4 года назад +1

      Hi! Thank you for your comment! Regarding aesthetics, this is a protoype, that is not built with an eye on finish - the next ones will look different. And regarding the price, as I use finest woods for the top and not the badest hardware, I have around 400 to 500 USD just material costs per guitar and then it takes around 50 hours to build one - so one per week is possible. Not enought to make a living for an entire family....
