Well done. Nobody wants to talk about organized crime and government supporting each other. Maybe we need these gangs here. Our government would be much more honest if these gangs were looking over their books.

the yakuza were absolutely imperative in the restructuring of japan following ww2. what they did is abhorrent but the japanese government contracted them to do it. At this point there is no separation between the government and the yakuza. They are just judge juror and executioner.

In any world, there are people (outlaws) who do not follow the law and order.
The worst situation is for such people to operate in a disorganized manner.
The fact that the criminal belongs to an organization called Yakuza puts a certain brake on the crime.
Yakuza members try not to cause trouble to the organization or their boss. It will also make it easier for police to arrest you. Therefore, Japan tolerates the existence of yakuza to some extent.

The Yazuka cares very much on how they should look for their recruitment. You will never find a "nice face" gang member but usually the born mean or nasty looking kind. However they do dressed appropriately for the occasions. The Yazuka members were mainly the outcast of the society, the Burakumin. Kind of a lower class Japanese. In olden days they were at the lowest end of the social ladder would be segregated. They were mainly dealing in jobs deemed as dirty. Many Burakumin women were in the prostitution trade.
Some Koreans look highly on their ways of life, thus the over 30% of the Yazuka are Koreans. Besides Japan once ruled over them and the Koreans somehow were drawn to their style of waywardness.

@@qweqwe1324 My comments were acknowledged by the Japanese themselves. Go google it as such facts are easily available.
Even mixed-up words "Yazuka (instea do Yakuza)" could be seen as a "victory" for you. Bro, you have misspelled it too.
Certainly this part of history isn't your cup of tea, and... should be erased permanently ?.

Pretty accurate and interesting, but the narrator does not know how to pronounce Japanese. I mean "Oyabun" like a hot dog bun? Nope,
