- Join us as we check out the new and improved Fantasy Island in Ingoldmells Lincolnshire UK under the new Mellors owners
Mellors have spent over 3 million pounds on new rides and improvements to the park and it's incredible what they achieved over the closed winter time
The pyramid indoor area has had a total make over with new lights, theming, dinosaur golf, rides and the mountain now has 3D mapping projection, the arcade has also had some improvements that now includes a brand new 10 pin bowling alley
Unfortunately a few rides on the day were down and Odyssey was closed due to strong winds........again lol
We had a fun day meeting up with some good friends including Theme Park Worldwide and Theme Park Planet and there are the usual on ride povs filmed in 1080p 60fps on my GoPro Hero Session
went to fantasy island yesterday was absolutely fantastic only one ride not running amazing confusion but we got on all rides fairly quickly oddersy was unreal will be goin back next year for sure
Everytime I go on holiday with my family every single ride is open, all food places are open. There is nothing closed. I LOVE FANTASY ISLAND. Some of the new things they’ve added in 2017 I don’t particularly like. Like inside the pyramid it’s all dark and added random giant dinosaurs. So it’s easier to lose young children in there as you can’t see them that well. But apart from that I love it !

You should visit. Lincoln. A very nice city about an hour away from there. They have a lovely cathedral and castle home to the Magna Carts and the water front is nice :)
I visited a couple of days ago and they told us that amazing confusion is up for sale to build a new coaster cause it's too tall
that shot of you all on the spinning boat ride shows exactly I prefer to your vlogs to Shawn's. your the average guy who loves the rides. keep up the great vlogs mate.
You need to remember that it's very early for the seaside season. Gt Yarmouth haven't even built up all the rides yet. Odyssey is only closed for safety. Like the Big One at Blackpool if the wind is strong and in the wrong direction it will not make it all the way around so what is better to be safe or for customers to get stuck and the emergency services have to be involved. Will done Mellors for the investment. Long may it last.
Jason Drake thanks for the info but I know how things work, I know about health and safety as I'm a tower crane driver and can't operate the crane in high winds ! All I'm say is that we have been to Fantasy Island 3 times in the past year and Odyssey has been closed, always bad weather when we go plus it's not early for seaside parks as Blackpool opened up over 2 months ago now

Neil we have been 3 times in the past year and it's been closed every time due to the weather !! Can't actually remember the last time I went on it lol
about time someone decided to spend some money on fantasy island and upgrade some stuff I shall look forward to looking around this when we are on holiday at Coastfields holiday village in sept this year thank you mellors

Love fantasy island,, been going to eastgate market back when it was only a market and a few kiddy rides ,, I can remember visiting FI when it first opened,, always reminds me of my childhood,, excellent vlog!
And I'll add I've never been on odyssey! My 12 year old son managed it though! I missed out after having a strop cos I got drenched in dragon mountain (I had to go to the market to buy new jeans) 🙈

True, but it would just have to be a little bit higher to stop that from happening.
good bargain when I go in August it always £28 for me and my sister and £50 for my mum, my dad , my nan and grandad I don't no why but I think they should put 6weeks £5 per person from July 20th till September 1st that will save family's £££ because I seen a family in kfc and they had about 5 adults with wristbands on for fantasy island and 2 children with wristbands for fantasy island as well or have up to 12 people in a groop £20 how much is it just for one ride or even a bag of tokens ?.

I've just looked into it, Banshee it the longest inverting coaster in the world and Alpengeist is the tallest full circuit inverted coaster ! Odyssey is however the worlds tallest Vekoma SLC and the third tallest coaster in the U.K. but it does have the 4th tallest vertical Loop in the world

mallows should put a giant heater so it can warm the seats and the track up so it can run in wind , snow, rain and shine
Melissa Ashmore they actually did put heaters in the station to warm up the wheels but if it's too windy there's nothing they can do about it

Melissa Ashmore everytime I go on holiday here. Which is at least 8 - 10 times a year. EVERYTHING IS OPEN, all the rides all the food places. Everything. I guess it’s just based on luck 😊
