@@muhammedsuleiman8047 A quick google search brings average markup on gold jewelry as 100 percent, so he is actually cheaper than average. I am not saying it is cheap compared to pure gold, but it seems that his price is less than average.
50$ per gram is a great price actually ! Usually jewelry stores will charge double the gram price so 14k gold worth 33$ per gram so jewelry store will charge 66$ minimum so 50$ per gram is really good actually

Maks, something I found useful after having been on this planet for almost 80 years is having a working definition of different types of gold. There is gold plated, gold bonded, gold filled and semi-solid gold, for example. Ok if gold is $1881 and theres 31.5grams in a troy ounce. That means the price of 24k is roughly $60 a gram. If hes selling 14k at $50 a gram you are paying too much. Most jewelers will say your not just paying for the gold. The jeweler would be right, youre paying his rent,lights and taxes along with the gold price. Ask the jeweler how much is the gold worth in scrap, bc thats the real price the chain is worth! Dont forget when scrapping gold they buy in dwt or penny weight. A dwt is 1.5 grams.

@@vincedemo2752 Expect to pay 3x over spot price for artistic value of jewelry. Add some cheap diamonds to it for the bling and the price skyrockets. Diamonds aren't rare, the DeBeers company did a good job of marketing them as such.

You get what you pay for - sometimes. It's nice to see how passionate you are about your profession.
First price that comes from them that is good. It is about a 52% markup at $50 per gram. Daniel Jewelry and others charge around 35-45%. Normally this company charges about 125% Mark Up on their stuff. Really great 👍🏻 competitive price. Digging the $46 price per gram. Only 39% mark up.

If you check their site and do the math on some prices, he does charge 75-100 per gram for 14k pieces which is borderline criminal. Same thing with Frost NYC. With that being said, he’s got a lot of employees and his shop is in NYC diamond district so I could only imagine what his overhead costs are between payroll and rent. Still, I believe he relies on uneducated people new to gold pieces that don’t understand cost. They just see a piece and know they want it and pay asking price.

Dude I been buying, selling and creating small pieces part time for 8 years.. His website pricing is waaayyyy above “50 bucks” per gram for 14k!!! Straight up lies… they have a 21 gram 14k cuban listed for 2400 bucks!! That’s only $724 worth of 14k gold!! That’s like $114 bucks per gram of 14k! It takes me roughly 3 hours or less to make one using old-school bench equipment…Making a 1600 dollar profit in a couple hours is amazing!!🤯🤔Hey if they buying it why not..🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️😂❤

August 18th 2023 this 1997 gram chain in 14k gold is worth $70,722 current 14k gold price is $35.14 per gram. I understand he has to make money. But.. $95k? It’s impossible to make money on this as a customer. If I was a big boy I’d be a buyer at $73k-$75k

The producer of that chain sells it at retail price, 43 a gram. That's a VIP Miami Cuban. That means more than likely they're producing that for 39 a gram. A fantastic chain but why not go to the source because they sell 43 a gram at retail, brand new and made to order?

There’s a wait list for this kind of shit and Traxnyc is wayyy ahead of you or anyone else who is just now in June of 2022 trying “to get at the source” they won’t sell a chain or anything else to you for the price they sell it to Trax for.
@@Fanta.... with the money you're saving by not shopping with someone who is a middleman so to say, in this case, you could buy something nice to go with your chain like a brand new Rolex, and the retailer who produced will still make that happy margin. The wealthy become wealthy because they know how to save their pennies and turn them into dollars ,or in this case, stretch that money to it's maximum potential.
How do you find the producer though? Genuine question. For example I've always wanted a 22k bracelet without middleman even if the design is simple but want to pay as little making cost as possible. But can't find anything like that unfortunately. I know Indian 22k gold has good prices but most is imported to jewelry stores here then huge markup on them.

I did my research after buying from Trax. I bought a 48g custom necklace from Trax. 48g x .583 = 27.98g actual gold. Spot price of gold $2000.00 ounce / 31.1 = $64.30 per gram. 27.98 x 64.30 = $1799.35. I paid $2800.00 including tax, and shipping for a custom piece out of their catalog. $1799 x 1.5 = $2699.00. 50% markup....

At time of comment gold is 2,033/ounce (more than when the video was recorded), which comes out to about $38/gram for 14K. At ~2,000 grams that means there's just about $75,000 of gold in this ~$100,000 chain. Which means you're paying $25,000 (or nearly an average American's annual salary) for this gold to be in the shape of a cuban rather than a bar. If that's worth it to you, then go for it. But know what you're paying for

For those that don't know about Miami Cuban Link Chains, $50 a gram isn't bad. For those of us that DO KNOW, $50 is just $3 off from 18k from Someone who is very reputable in Miami and can make this chain by hand. 14k should be no more then $42 a gram. Im not knocking this guy, He has a business to run and can charge whatever he wants, But before you let go of your hard earned money, make a few phone calls to the Miami area and call some local jewelry places and ask the right questions and you'll buy 4 chains for the price of this one, WITH a Video of your Chain showing you the xrf machine and its reading.

So in a few years once that chain has its wear, they'll start to notice that the lock isn't locking anymore. Vip is also know for their poor quality of work. When spending this kind of money or even just a couple of thousand, people need to do their research. So many people are lazy and will just pay whatever because they like what they see. This guy outsources his jewelry. None of these are made in house, which means he's buying in bulk from vip, paying vip maybe $38 a gram for 14k and turning a huge profit to sell at his store.
