I've watched about a dozen or so of bobbin lace tutorials and you're the first one says how many stitches you need for something! No joke. Tension makes a huge difference so knowing the ideal number is really important, if you ask me. Am I missing something?
Would you please do a video explaining what temporary pins achieve in a variety of different situations? Could the top edge in this case have been done just as well by hanging the new bobbin on the existing pin and working it there? What is the difference? I am curious!
Generally I would put a temporary pin slightly away from the actual pin, and this is mostly so you remember to remove it, otherwise you can be left with an unwanted loop. If you have a way that works for you for using a temporary pin in a different way that is generally okay, I just wouldn't put it on a pin already used and then to try and have to lift the new pair thread off it.
Finally,, I understand the difference between clotch stitch and half stitch when it comes to the spiders 😁 Thank you for this very helpful video.

This is an old pattern, I don't know where it came from or who the designer was to be able to let you have the details. Sorry.

Not sure what you mean by the love outlining border.
There are already patterns out there for letters, it's not something I have designed.
