A belated happy birthday Rachel 🎉, it was my wife's the day after. We went to the Crown in Trelawnyd for a meal. It was absolutely beautiful as it always is, there bau buns are beautiful 😍. That was a wonderful vlog, everything looked quaint and picturesque ✨️. I am really pleased that you both had a glorious time 💕. Like deployed 👍
Thanks mate, we had a brilliant time. Happy belated birthday to your good lady too!! I found the hard drive the other day with your Pilgrim tracks on, I was listening to them while I was editing - they really were great tracks!!! Thanks again as always, we must meet up for a pint one day!! Cheers
@PostcardAndAPint we absolutely must, 🤩. Feel free if you so desire to use any of the music that you have of mine, including the folk goth that I sent you, ✨️💕
I really enjoyed this video! I recently found your channel when searching for cruise vlogs and loved your content, so I subscribed. I am enjoying your other travel vlogs just as much! I’m from the US so it’s like taking a virtual trip along with you! Your vlogs are informative and fun. Looking forward to seeing everything you two get up to!
Thanks. We reckon 40 mins or so to look at the actual stones, you can walk all around them but not inside, apart from special occasions. If you’re talking the bus from the visitor centre, that will add about another 5-10 mins each way, allow 30 mins or so each way. Maybe 20-30 mins or so in the museum and the huts, then however long you want to spend in the shop and cafe. Hope that helps. Cheers
Fabulous. What a fantastic video. We both loved Dorset as well. I’ve visit quite often. I would love to know the information about the shepherds hut. Would love to stay there. If you’re ever visiting Dorset Hampshire or Sussex again let us know I’d love to Get you both a pint
Thank you so much. I’ll get Rach to find the info on the hut. It was such a beautiful place, and next time we’re down there, we’ll definitely take you up on the offer of a pint!!! Thanks again and cheers 🍻
Ah thank you. If you ever get the chance, we would definitely recommend it, although it is a bit pricey. Thank you for watching and for your kind comment
I absolutely loved every moment of this! What a fabulous road trip! So many beautiful sights and scenery! That Air B&B!! Perfect view! All the sights have such an iconic look to them! Stonehenge and dinosaur footprints were pretty spectacular though! 😊
Yay for a road trip! Thank the CADW memberships for free entry to Stonehenge, it's incredible to experience but wowee it's pricy!! Loved the shot with the rainbow in the backdrop, magnificent! That cheese and ham looked yummy btw, nicely done! Love the village of Corfe, so quaint and so pretty. Mmm that pub grub looked incredible especially Will's Pie! Very much enjoyed watch Debs do a fly over the castle and village, so incredible! I like how much NT put on for the kids too, making a fun day at the castle. Loved listening to the history Rach! Great story too about your childhood, shame you couldn't find your camera hehe. So interesting about Enid Blyton, love the trail that you're doing too! Isn't Dorset just so beautiful?! It makes time away so great when you have the good weather too! Ahh, Happy Birthday Rach!! 🥳🥳you deserve to be spoilt. Interesting about Brownsea Island, have always wanted to visit so now I know what to expect! It looks so fun. We really appreciate the time, the effort and the fantastic filming you do to inspire visiting to these places, thank you both! Excellent!
Thanks so much, what a lovely comment. We had just the best time to be honest. We're looking forward to editing the Enid Blyton Trail video too. Thanks for the birthday wishes too. Cheers x
Loved this vlog! You actually visited Kirrin Castle 😮 Mrs Slaw is waiting with bated breath for your Enid Blyton vlog to relive her childhood ❤ The Shepherd’s Hut looked so cosy 🥰 We have some dinosaur footprints on the Yorkshire Coast. Crazy isn’t it 😱 Thanks for sharing your adventures. You know we like a good adventure 🚍☀️
Ah thanks guys. Wills loved the dinosaurs! We'll have to head over to Yorkshire to find those. This was an amazing few days away and we loved every second. Enid Blyton trail coming at ya next weekend! Cheers 🍻
Hey Rach and Wills, We wanted to sit and enjoy this one over a drink on Sunday night, so apologies for the late comment! 🙈. Have to say, think this is one of our favourite videos for a while, epic coastal views, castles, shepherds huts and story telling, all wrapped up in a typical postcard bundle of pure entertainment 🤩👍. Stonehenge is somewhere we would love to see, crikey it's not cheap though is it! You guys got a really bargain with the CADW membership👌. If we ever make it to Dorset, we will have to get the details of your shepherds hut, wow! Right up our street! And the view of the castle and morning deer visitors just made it even more chocolate box ❤ 🦌 🏰. What a stunning coastline 🌊❤. Wills your drone shots are excellent, Pete thinks Rach should have more faith 😂 (but then he says that about me whenever he flies ours too😂). Dinosaur footprints! Now that is VERY cool! Love the fact you could get right up to them too 🦕❤. We can't wait for your Enid Blyton vlog, i (Shell) grew up with her stories too, my late auntie use to read them with us as children, so that will be a special one ❤. Happy belated birthday Rach, what a way to spend it🥳🎊. We feel like we could go on and on about this vlog, you guys fitted soo much in!but we will smash the like button and leave it there. Aw we love being part of the Postcard gang, it is defo where all the cool kids hang out 🤗🥰. Getting recognised in tesco eh Rach, that's boss 🙌. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us guys, we always look forward to your videos, and you are right Wills, you tube is a great motivator for getting out there and trying new things! Cheers to the good times 🍻 Shell and Pete 😊👍
Thanks so much guys. It was a jam packed 3 days, but just how we like it! Yes, give us a shout if you ever want the details for that shepherd hut. The bed was so comfy!! We highly recommend Dorset and the Isle of Purbeck. There's so much to see and it's amazing to be at the heart of Enid Blytons inspirations! Were looking forward to putting that one together too. I think I have to just suck it up and trust wills now, but every now and again he confuses down and up and gives me a heart attack!!! Cheers for your lovely comment and have the best week. 🍻
You're really nailing the drone these days! Wearing coats to the beach is funny to us. Real dinosaur prints? That's awesome! Deer just wanted to wish you a happy birthday. How wonderful. Happy birthday! What a fun Easter! Those rocks 😍🤩
Haha you have to wear a coat to the beach here most of the year! The dinosaurs were so cool. Thanks for the birthday wishes, it was a lovely weekend. Cheers guys 🍻
First the drones shots throughout the video were outstanding! You two are brilliant story tellers, narration, video, humor etc brilliant! What a beautiful way to celebrate your birthday Rachel. Guys thank you for bringing us along. ~Cara ❤ (Yes just shy of 5K and you’re famous!)
Thanks for joining us, it's a beautiful county and we had such an amazing few days. We're getting there with the subs. Cheers as always for your support. 🍻
Oh wow, So Cool! Free admission to Stonehenge!!! Serious Great!!! It's Simply an Incredible sight!😍 No way...raining???....i don't believe it!😂 Wow, very nice accommodations! So cute and cozy and a view of the castle!👍 Awe...deer!!! So Awesome! Amazing drone views!!! I'm an expert at crashing things! Lol Lol...one day, Wills will get that beanbag thru!😅 Sorry to hear about your camera.😢 The Castle is Magnificent! Omg...Dino prints!!!😮 Definitely would've loved to see them in person!!! Love it!!! Jurassic Coast is Totally Awesome!!! The beach and that limestone arch is Incredible! Love steam trains!!! This adventure was Totally Awesome! I'm also a major Dinosaur lover. Seriously Appreciate all the information yiu provide as always! We wish Rachel a Very Happy Belated Birthday and hope she has a Wonderful Birthday month!!! We do Birthday months in our Family!🤣 Excellent vlog as usual, Guys!!! Thanks So Much!!! 😁🤙👊
A birthday month!!! I'm up for that. I usually only get a birthday +2 before it's deemed over! Like your style. This was such an amazing few days away. To see all that we saw was mind blowing. Those dinosaur footprints were something else! Thanks so much for watching and cheers 🍻
Happy (belated) birthday! You didn't get sunshine but you did get a visit from the deer 🦌! We took our sons to Brownsea Island years ago... kind of special since Ian, Trent and Weston all earned their Eagle Scout awards 🦅 🎖️ 17:09 Ian was pleased to see Ammanford on the scout signs since he lived there as a boy 🏴
Hi Rachel, Hi Wills it's Steve from Buckley. Thanks for mention at end, I must stop approaching young lady's in Tesco in a threatening way 😂😂. I said to you about selfie, I messaged wife in Tesco and said you will never believe who I just seen, she messaged back hope you got a selfie 😂. Been following and watching your vlogs for a very long time now and love the facts, humour and innuendos in them and the editing is 1st class. This Dorset one is no exception. Never been myself but looked fantastic. Keep up the good work and if I see you again I will wave from a distance shouting Hi Rachel 😂😂
Oh my days you guys are such pros. Was saving this for tomorrow but mainstream telly was so bad this is just a constant joy, forget channel 5 its channel 🍻
Looked like an amazing trip! Loved the charming little villages and castles. Pub food looked great as well. Can’t believe the dinosaur footprints! Thats so crazy.
The only time I've ever been to Stonehenge was in 1995! I need to dig up the old photo album, but it looks like things have definitely changed since then! I'm pretty sure there wasn't a gift store! Thanks for the update! I would love to come back and visit Dorset. Happy Birthday! 🎂😀
I zoned out for a bit and the next thing I knew Rach was saying something was sticking up loud and proud and you loved it. So glad you had a nice birthday. The knob must've been a bonus then. I've always wanted to visit Stonehenge and the Jurassic coast so this is very very cool. It really cool to kick a rock over and see that it is a fossil. We've only done it once at a place called Cocklebiddy (settle) on the Nullarbor in the Outback. We went down Cocklebiddy cave, huge, and nearly every rock was a fossil. It was an amazing experience. Looking forward to your Enid vid. I noticed she died in 1968. There is something cool knowing that I shared the world with her for a couple of years. Dorset looks amazing. Hot cross bun gelato would make the drive worthwhile for sure. It would make a fab road trip for a bunch of antipodeans if we ever make it over there. Great stuff you two!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Corfe Castle was certainly sticking up loud and proud and that's not a euphemism! Man we need to come over to Oz, you have the best place names, we'd have a field day! Yep the Jurassic coast is pretty special and we will certainly be visiting again. Seems old Enid was very popular in Australia, but the Americans have never heard of her. Cheers for watching 🍻
Absolutely loved this vidro guys. We visit this area every year so it was nice to see your trip. The filming was very good & the editing was nice & tight with the quickly changing shots. I loved how you combined the voiceovers with the talking head shots. Really impressed with this. Cant wait tillyour next video about Enid Blyton being a big fan of her Famous Five & Secret Seven books as a kid. 👍👍👍
Thank you so much. We've dreamt about doing a get away like this for years. What a beautiful place and one we'll be back to again. Enid is coming up a week on Sunday! We loved seeing the places that inspired her work. Cheers 🍻
Wow where do start. That was absolutely epic. Dorset has so much to see and do and looks like you got round most of it. Great use of the drone Wills good stuff. A very Happy belated Burpday Rach 🍾🍷🎂. Totally enjoyed seeing what you got up to. Can’t wait for the Enid Blyton trail. Cheers 🍻🍻
Ah thanks guys. We had a lovely few days and were so blessed with the weather (mostly). Wills is getting better at the drone these days! Enid will be a week Sunday, I hope we do her justice! Cheers 🍻
Happy birthday Rachel🎉🎉🎉… that was indeed a very lovely way to spend it. Absolutely loved those coastline views. Also, a picture with the drone is a must! I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. Those cute picturesque town❤❤❤ Hopefully one day I’ll be able to see some of them.
Thank you!! I had such a lovely day. Dorset is such a beautiful county, we had a wonderful few days. We managed to fly the drone a fair bit, I think my favourite shots were of the old Harry Rocks. Cheers for watching 🍻
Well done on getting into Stonehenge for free. We visited Dorset every summer for five years when the kids were young. It is such a beautiful county. Corfe is a stunning village and Durdle Door is one of my favourite places to visit. Thanks for reminding me how much I need to go back.
@PostcardAndAPint Me too, Rach. We stayed in Bournemouth a couple of times, but our favourite memories were caravan holidays at Wareham Forest Touring Park in my teens. Dorset left such an impression on me that when I met my Mrs, we took her and her 3 kids away for a camping holiday in Dorset - back to Wareham Forest. Good Times.
You fitted so much into a few days. Loved every bit of it. What a great place to spend your birthday. Looking forward to The Famous Five trail. Read all the books as a child too. Still have them all ♥
Wonderful ! So glad you enjoyed Dorset ! Hope you’ll go back for a second visit. And thanks so much for the shout out… Dorset Knobs are more a thing at the West End of the county but at least you got a decent beer 🍺.. Happy days
What a stunning video, loved all the scenery and crikey stone henge has changed since 1974, we drove there at night and parked across the road , snuck in and while we were walking around our torch went out which frightened us so we headed back to the car.
Wow, I'm thoroughly mesmerized by everything you do, I don't know how but it always turns out so seamlessly, thank you for sharing, fully watched every scene!
That was a fabulous weekend trip! I had no idea that entering the Stonehenge site was so expensive! I've driven past it a few times but never gone in. Dorset and the villages you visited is everyone's dream of picture postcard Britain and I loved the shepherd's hut. I loved Enid Blyton's books, especially the Famous Five, I loved all the adventures the children had, so am looking forward to your Enid Blyton Trail video. (I also loved the Swallows and Amazon books, and have done the Lake District pilgrimage. I'm making myself sound ancient but my primary school library had very old books!)
Hahaha we both loved swallows and amazons too! Obvs went to a similar school. It was such a lovely weekend, a little hideaway in the woods and seeing all those places. Stonehenge was a big win saving all that money!!! Cheers for watching 🍻
We both said how quiet the roads were the whole time we were there. Swanage was busy and I'm sure corfe castle got busy, but bar the walk down to durdle door, we didn't find it busy at all!!
This is a great video. I love you guys so much. We are heading to UK in May and had to decide between Dorset or Cornwall. It was hard, but we picked Cornwall. This video is making me rethink my choices. I love how you both embrace the weather and spend so much time outside. Just like I like to live.
Ah thank you so much. Have the best visit ever!! Cornwall is amazing too, you'll have a blast. It's on our list to visit with the channel. We wish we could do this more and love the outdoor life more often!! Cheers 🍻
Hey! Loved this, you also have new fan Ernest was intrigued so watched along, his highlight came early wills on the toilet. The accommodation was cool real back to basics with bit of luxury! Love the sea age railway and that pie on first night tasty!! Loved the whole 30 minutes thanks for sharing. Cheers
Yes Ernest! I but if toilet humour is always a win!!! This was such a lovely few days away. We often forget that there are so many places within the U.K.! I just wish we had the time (and money!!) to visit more of it! Here's to more exploring in the future. Cheers 🍻
Love the Greyhound and hope you got to see the castle from the beer garden of the Fox Inn. You can see Shakespeare on Brownsea later in the summer which is really fab. Hope you got to treat yourselves to an Isle of Purbeck brewery beer by Old Harry and had a fabulous time - pop to see us in Christchurch next time 🍻
We didn't get to the fox this time. We did walk past it and thought it looked lovely. We did love the Greyhound! An outdoor production on Brownsea sounds magical! We passed a cider place near corfe castle that looked interesting. We'd definitely be up for a beer next time we're down that way. Cheers 🍻
Another great vlog! Loved seeing Brownsea Island again! I went camping there with guides we had gale force winds, lost our toilet tent and had to sleep in our day clothes 😂 Durdle door a few years ago we dropped the keys at the beach and Kristian walked all the way back down and luckily found them! We love Dorset and try and go once a year!
Sounds like you've had quite the adventures in Dorset!! I wouldn't have enjoyed a second trek down to the beach at Durdle Door!! That was a steep walk. Thanks so much for watching 🍻
Aww what a lovely video. Belated birthday greetings Rach xxx Dorset is so lovely, went during lockdown (when we could) so everything was a lot quieter. The footprints were awesome, really would love to see them. We didn't have time to visit Corfe Castle. Did you know Old Harry Rocks used to be connected to The Needles on the Isle of Wight?
Thank you so much. It was a lovely break in a beautiful county. We read a lot about the formation of the Jurassic coast when we were there, its fascinating. Wills loved the dinosaurs!!! Cheers 🍻
Hi there! You have a new friend here. Wow your channel is fun!I Many years ago when I was young I traveled with my family to Europe and the British Isles so I'm exited to watch your channel .
For anybody that doesn't want to pay the extortionate costs of visiting Stone Henge, you can see it for free! Just park at Lark Hill Barracks, walk down a lane (with other people, locals and dog walkers along the same path), after 10 minutes you will see the stones, you can cross the National Trust field as it has a pathway (no dogs allowed in the field) and you arrive at Stone Henge which is 20 metres away! It's all free!
Cheers for the heads up! We did see that road as we got to the site. There were a fair few MH parked along that road it seemed. We loved our visit (and our was free too thanks to Cadw!!). Cheers 🍻
I can feel the wonderful history and culture there! Thanks for sharing, my friends!🥷🇯🇵
Thank you so much for watching 🍻
How r u doing ❣️
Ur video is always of high quality and beautiful 🤩

Great Vlog as usual guys! 👍👋

The village looks so cute and cozy almost like a film set, from our side of the globe 🌎
It was a very cute village to be honest...up there with the nicest we've visited. Cheers
Awwww, happy birthday Rachel !!
Do you want an Iron Maiden jumper?😂
Haha, I don’t think she’d wear it 😂🤘
Now I know why it's called the Jurassic coast! So many dinosaurs 🦖 🦕!!!
Wills was so made up with those footprints.
Fabulous. What a fantastic video. We both loved Dorset as well. I’ve visit quite often. I would love to know the information about the shepherds hut. Would love to stay there. If you’re ever visiting Dorset Hampshire or Sussex again let us know I’d love to Get you both a pint

Cheers 🍻
Great trip! Lovely locations and great weather! Nice flights btw! 😍😍👍👍
Thanks so much and cheers 🍻
Wow, blown away indeed...that was an absolutely fabulous road trip for sure!!
Thank you so much. It was a great few days. 🍻
Ah thank you. It was my (Rachel) childhood holiday place and it was soooo good to be back. We loved it! Cheers for watching 🍻
Still have them all ♥
This was such an idyllic feeling days. We absolutely loved it! I too still have all my famous five books! Cheers to you both 🍻
Wonderful ! So glad you enjoyed Dorset ! Hope you’ll go back for a second visit. And thanks so much for the shout out… Dorset Knobs are more a thing at the West End of the county but at least you got a decent beer 🍺.. Happy days
You're most welcome and what a lovely county it is!! We'll find us some knob next time we're there!!! 🤣🍻
What a stunning video, loved all the scenery and crikey stone henge has changed since 1974, we drove there at night and parked across the road , snuck in and while we were walking around our torch went out which frightened us so we headed back to the car.
I think you can still get in via the side, there were loads of vans parked up. Your experience sounds cool, and spooky!! Cheers for watching 🍻
@@PostcardAndAPint I also thought that was the hovis ad street, it certainly was , we drove up in an old zephyr.
Loved your Durdle Door visit ❤
It's a steep walk, but well worth it. Cheers 🍻
Wow, I'm thoroughly mesmerized by everything you do, I don't know how but it always turns out so seamlessly, thank you for sharing, fully watched every scene!
Thanks so much
👍41 great edit already
Haha just us idiots!
Dorset? Worth the crowds!
We both said how quiet the roads were the whole time we were there. Swanage was busy and I'm sure corfe castle got busy, but bar the walk down to durdle door, we didn't find it busy at all!!
Ive just found you and I have loved the Dorset vlog and especially The Enid Blyton vlog.
Thank you so much and welcome to the channel. We get out and about as much as we can. There is so much more of the U.K. we want to visit. Cheers 🍻
Cheers 🍻
Wow that's absolutely breathtaking from the aerial view,,this castle looks very old 8:07
It's stunning. Cheers William the conqueror and cheers to you. 🍻
Cheers 🍻
That pie Wills ate looked amazing. We don’t have that here.
The pie WAS amazing!! 🥧🤘🍻
Nice film guys .. you always put a fun twist to your adventures 👍
Thank you so much for watching 🍻
Cheers 🍻
Perfect excuse all around! 🍻
Greyhound inn looks mint, great review guys
It was a jewel of a pub!
Lovely, I have good memories there :-) (Stonehenge), thanks for sharing x❤
Thanks. It’s pretty impressive isn’t it!!
Going there next month, can’t wait
Have the best time ever. It's a beautiful county. Cheers for watching 🍻
Another great vlog! Loved seeing Brownsea Island again! I went camping there with guides we had gale force winds, lost our toilet tent and had to sleep in our day clothes 😂
Durdle door a few years ago we dropped the keys at the beach and Kristian walked all the way back down and luckily found them! We love Dorset and try and go once a year!
Sounds like you've had quite the adventures in Dorset!! I wouldn't have enjoyed a second trek down to the beach at Durdle Door!! That was a steep walk. Thanks so much for watching 🍻
@@PostcardAndAPint I waited at the car with the dog!!🙈

Aww what a lovely video. Belated birthday greetings Rach xxx Dorset is so lovely, went during lockdown (when we could) so everything was a lot quieter. The footprints were awesome, really would love to see them. We didn't have time to visit Corfe Castle. Did you know Old Harry Rocks used to be connected to The Needles on the Isle of Wight?
Thank you so much. It was a lovely break in a beautiful county. We read a lot about the formation of the Jurassic coast when we were there, its fascinating. Wills loved the dinosaurs!!! Cheers 🍻
Makes me want to take a road trip ❤
Take a road trip!!! We loved this one, it was short sweet and jam packed! Cheers 🍻
Fantastic video, omg your making me want to visit all these places I've not been to 😂

Oh i do love a wimpy..
So do we! You don't see them too often x
Pasta, garlic bread and beer? I’m in
Good end to a day!
Cheers 🍻
A 5 minute walk? 😱😱
It was and a lovely one at that! 🍻
Ah Watto and Kim, BDAY
Yep, more quality RUclips 🍻
Bracing brownies 😱
It was bloody freezing!
Rach, do you use cards to read off of or do you memorize your lines? You do such a great job narrating. So natural and effortless.
For the live talking, she remembers it…it might take her 5 tries at it…takes me about 10 😂 For the narration, she writes the script.
Isn't she? She has a wonderful presence on the camera, as does Wills! But jealous of Rach's ability to not fluff the lines! hehe :D
66 quid to see rocks? I wish I could see it in it’s original form.
It is a bit pricey isn’t it!! Not for us though, free thanks to Cadw. It would be amazing to see them how they would have been originally!!
Mmm, shepherds hut. Sounds Xmasy will?
It was decorated very Eastery! I bet it's stunning at Christmas 🍻
Rach, did you go from being scared of peacocks 🦚 to being scared of cows 🐄??
Always been wary of cows!! Lived in the country my whole life - just don't trust them!
@@PostcardAndAPint a lot of British people are like that!
Cue the jurassic park music
Hahaha
Watch those cows 😱
They make me nervous!!!! 🍻
