The support worker in the front found the most professional and appropriate possible way to… essentially, grab the swimmer by the butt while she was balancing. Kudos for seamless professionalism, that could have looked really goofy but it didn’t detract from the focus on the swim
That's the standard way to assist/support people who have balance issues. The girl clearly has leg weakness and balance issues, that's why they are holding her hips to prevent her falling off the block.
lol as a para swimmer this is just how people start, we don’t need a special commendation. An assist is used for those who can’t balance well on the block. This is Grace Harvey - you should go watch her breaststroke race from Tokyo!
@@sampu2009 I think it is to help the swimmer to keep their balance and not fall forwards too soon! It's similar to when you hold your arms out to your sides when balancing on a rope, for example!
She has a wheelchair behind the block. It looks as though she has a limitation in her legs and she will be allowed to be helped to balance on the block. Very good swim. She looks rapid. I would have liked to have seen the turn if there was one. That must have been challenging for her too.
Nah she's not blind mate. She's got celebral palsy. Swimming in SB5 class disability. Still amazing though! I couldn't imagine swimming that good being blind lol
Search for ''swimming tech suit''. They should only be used for competition though as they offer extreme amounts of compression among many other traits. Arena, Speedo, TYR and Mizuno are the leading brands for tech suits.
Those aren’t swimsuit they a race suit a completely different thing. While you can have a swimsuit on for a long time it’s recommended not to have a race suit on for too long specially having I all the way up then you are a woman. It presses on you shoulders and sits very tight. Plus they are way more expensive than swimsuits example arena race suit can range from 130€ too 595€ for women and for men it’s 85€ too 395€ Where swim suit is up to 61€ for women and men is 41€ But you can usually buy them at arena speedo or TYR. If you have example like big hips I would recommend speedo i use that myself now because it fit my body way better it where hard and uncomfortable get into a arena or tyr for me because they are made for small or thinner gals. But I use an arena swimsuit.
To put it simply, these are called Tech Suits. They’re made from special material which cause them to be quite expensive. Swimmers wear them in important races because if you get a tight enough size then it shaves off some time. They constantly have to repurchase them, though because these suits have a short life span.
Viendo las imágenes detenidamente me dí cuenta que son los dos carriles externos, esto si no te estremece el corazón, es porque no tenés sangre en las venas.👏👏👏👏🤩🤩🤩🤩🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️🙌
Not too sure what you’re confused about. This is a swim meet, a bunch of people meet up with similar times to race. This is a special swim meet though, because it’s for paralympic swimmers. If i had to guess the woman in the red has cerebral palsy which causes her shakiness.
I’m noticing the person in the far lane, in black & red, missing a foot. That (IMO) would be a challenge. I’ve watched this multiple times & confirmed they are kicking when they swim so I would think that would put her at a disadvantage. Thinking about how a row boat couldn’t go straight if an oar was messed up. ❤ 🤩
That is awesome! Another example that the spirit will always win out! God Bless You young lady!! ❤
May God bless everyone! 🙏❤️✝️ Amin! 🙏❤️✝️
Ladies. There are several that have physical challenges on the platform. Not just the lady in/on the closest lane.

You should peek into an anatomy book, pal. That's not the butt, that's the hip.

Ok cripple
I think I would need someone to hold me on the block if I tried that
I volunteered at the Atlanta Olympics, then the special Olympics. Those were the true tough warriors.

The player in red is she.injured?
No, I think they might have cerebral palsy because you pay attention to the farthest one they are missing part of their limb.
Bloody legends working their butts off even when they have a perfectly good reason not to, meanwhile my lazy fully abled self is doom scrolling.
