He talks about fear earlier in the song. He says "you put me in the corner so you could see the fear in my eyes." He is referring to that fear becoming a coping mechanism for children.

Nf is popular for never swearing in his songs and for his rhymes and beats and his good singing voice. I think its a pretty cool how NF have never said any curse word in his songs
