What’s really sad is the police not actively seeking out these criminals. All they do is write a report & file it away. Situations like this it’s useless to call the police, you just gotta do everything yourself & play defense.
No point in it when prosecutors just let them back out. No charges, probation, community service because they’re young. I can understand the police’s frustration.

My fiends dad owns a jewelry store in NY, he replaced all the glass in his cases with an almost indestructible thick acrylic lucite. It takes away from the clarity of the cases and the jewelry inside them lose some of their "shine" but he was tired of the smash and grab robberies(he got hit 3 times in one year). He has a sign on the door that says "Cases are covered with an unbreakable plastic, don't even bother". He hasn't been hit since.
How about installing something to call the police when something is disturbed such as glass or windows or doors being hit at night. Those mfs must be thirsty af.

I hope the majority of businesses, if not all of them install plexiglass, use up to date color cameras and use some form of license plate reader to catch these evil doers. When these culprits are captured, then please “throw the book” at them and them from society.
