We must all know SOMEONE or several SOMEONES who were given an early death sentence, due to whatever cause there can be! Say at 31 like Minnie Ripperton, 47 like Judy Garland, etc. I had a girl friend who died at 49, an ex-boyfriend at 51! My mother died at 54 due to cancer!

I agree I will be 58 in June. My.dad died when he was 54 from a heart attack and my mom died when she was 60 from heart failure. Amen I'm still alive.

I remember the first time I saw her, when she won Miss America. Her win was the biggest topic of conversation the next day back in school. I also saw her in person in New York City about 17 years ago. She was shooting in the area and was just coming out of her trailer. She was more striking in person than I’d expected. As we were walking by, it took me several seconds to realize who she was. She saw me beginning to recognize her, gave me and my son a bright, friendly smile and waved at us. My mouth dropped open at first, then I got myself together, smiled and waved back. I’m sure she was trying hard not to laugh at me. I don’t know about anyone else, but I still love her and love seeing her. Vanessa is still such a beauty and seems to redefine beautiful at every age.
I met Ms. Vanessa Williams at a party in California sometime back and she is soo pretty in person or on camera! True beauty and very kind!

I don't know you, but I'm sorry for your loss, and my heart 💔 breaks for you. When Vanessa Williams says, "it's a privilege to get older," trust and believe she was telling the truth! My biological father also passed away young, age 31, from colon cancer. Without him getting me here and keeping me breathing until he took his final breath, there's no way I'd have gotten as far as I have now.

I always tell my family that it’s such a blessing to get older and I enjoy and welcome every year that I get to experience and live. The older I get the more comfortable I feel in my own skin and the more I learn to appreciate myself and everything around me.

I heard a coworker say when you hit 50 😳 you start going Downhill. Hitting 60 I started thinking do we go downhill faster 😊 I tripped myself out with that thought. I now cherish each day, I create memories and spend lots of time with family and friends making memories ❤

I try to even at 31 to give myself and take it easy on myself. Because I realize worrying doesn’t help AT ALL. It doesn’t speed things up or slow things down. You just gotta do the best you can and show up daily and be yourself. Have fun!

I’m 62. I remember when she was selected as Miss America. I was a newspaper reporter. When I went into work that following Monday, everyone was so happy over her win. Now Vanessa is the best-looking 60 year old I’ve ever seen. Stunningly beautiful. God bless her and her family. ❤️🙏

But I'm so glad that God has blessed me to grow older, to be able to spend time with my children and grandchildren. I hope I'm here to see my great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. I flew to Rome and landed in Rome on my 60th. I toured Rome that day and jumped on a ship to tour the western Mediterranean Sea, stopping in Naples, Sicily, LA Pezia, Nice, Monaco, Monte Carlo and Ibiza for 9 days.
