Great way to add shine with a matte mold

The mold is amazing. The casting is great. Usually it isn't necessary to put mica in the resin if you paint the mold.

Yeah that's what I thought but there was a pamphlet that came with it that said to do that but yeah it should work without. I'll give it a go 😊

I have always put a small amount of pigment in my resin as well as painting the mould… with those metallic powders, I sometimes use the same powder, and sometimes use black pigment in the resin. ♥️♥️🇦🇺

I forget to check the size of the moulds too, so you’re not the only one!😀

Your mould turned out great Trish… I love making my own moulds! It is quite addictive… I’m always looking in 2nd hand shops for things that I can cast!! 😂 And yes, silicone isn’t cheap!
OMG… that sand dollar with the chameleon flakes… words fail me!! It is really stunning! Beautiful! I love it (if you hadn’t guessed)!!
I’d like to see you try and create a sand dollar, that looks like a sand dollar?? Just an idea!?
    Love from Nat. ♥️♥️🇦🇺

Hi Trish, congratulations on making your first mold, it looks good. I've made a few inlays, no molds yet. I've been low key lately, I fell down the last 3 steps of the basement stairs, my leg got wedged with my knee bent, I thought I broke it but I didn't, got some major bruising on my butt and back, no fun having arthritis. Your sand dollars turned out nice, the gold one is my favorite...Take care...cheers !!!
