I bought the new N2X with the main objective of using it for parking mode ( motion sensor ) I turned this on and I power the dash cam with a power bank. The problem is the dash cam is always recording! Isn’t suppose to only record when motion is detected ? Am I doing something wrong?
It will always record but it will overwrite the oldest footage unless there was motion detected, in which case it will save and protect the footage.
I watched this earlier and went out to install the WIFI with no success. It just occurred to me this was an easy demo because you already had it set up on your phone, so it found the WIFI immediately.
The confusion I am having is, where are the WIFI buttons on the camera to long press to turn WIFI on.
The WiFi option appears on the screen and you will need to press the select button.
Does the rear camera port allow you to power the unit? The windscreen mount with its d/c port is stuck to my windscreen. ButI would like to operate the unit in my home to adjust settings etc. I plugged it into my Macbook and the macbook wall charger and neither powered the unit up. Thanks in advance
If you buy the correct camera it will be powered via the link cable. I agree it is very bad that they don't provide a home power cable for it. So the only solution is to either buy another windshield mount as spare and use it at home, unglue the windshield mount, or bring the MacBook in the car.

When I try to to check live from my phone at home
It says it can’t connect if I’m not 2 meters close to it.
Yes that is correct, this camera does not support remote monitoring because it doesn't have any internet or Cellular connection.

I agree they should include the memory card in the price they charge people for the camera; however, make sure to buy a Micro SD Card, not an SD Card.
Does the unit get really hot? Even when in park mode. It’s almost too hot to touch.
If you park the car under hot Sun it will get hot to the touch even if the camera is off. However, if it gets extremely hot when the car is not under direct sunlight or at night then you have a defective camera and you should send it back for an exchange. Mine never gets that hot, it only gets slightly warm.
There is no wife option on my dash camera

I'm android I went to wifi and it didn't came up. What should I do?
Put the phone on Airplane mode then back to normal mode, it should appear then.

Double check to make sure the WiFi option is not disabled, and make sure you have the latest firmware installed.
I just bought the E3 dashcam. When I turn off the car, I can't connect anymore and you won't be able to see anything moving around you. it's much worse than the cheaper ones

You need to disconnect your Wi-Fi from your Bluetooth radio, and connected to the camera
Mine has trouble as well because it wants to auto connect to the radio

How do you make the cabin camera record in color? Thanks!
It records in color during the daylight, or if the vehicle's internal roof lights are ON. The grayscale recording is only for night vision when the care is totally dark.

I don't understand this app. I have the Ring app for my home security cams. On their app i can be anywhere in the world and pull up live feed.
With the Vantrue app it makes me be in the vehicle and connected to it via wifi. Why? Makes the app mosy useless to me. Am I missing something or doing something wrong?
You are correct this camera does not connect to cellular network, or WiFi internet, so it can't be accessed from far distances.

Quick question, for the parking mode, if all of the options are off does this effectively turn parking mode off? I just ask because I didn’t see a specific option to turn parking mode off. Thanks!
Parking mode only works if you buy the additional hardwired setup from NEXUS, it is not included with the package. The reason is that when you turn off your vehicle the power goes away from the Cigarette Lighter port, and the units turns off. The hard wired kit will allow power to flow continuously to the camera even when the vehicle is OFF.

I have a Vantrue dashcam and it tells me about the app but can’t connect it cause the dashcam doesn’t even have a wifi option in the settings
Make sure it is a Vantrue NEXUS 4 PRO because some of the older models didn't come with WiFi.

Great Video on VanTrue just bought one! iPhone 14 Promax upper left arrow screen button never works first time for me either!

Thanks for this video, very helpful and informative. Just one question if I may - is there an option to view videos side by side? I can see on the live preview that all 3 cams are on screen together, can you do this in playback mode too or are they individual videos?

On Playback they are individual videos, however you can use video editing software to overlay them on top of each other, or set them side by side. Some of such programs are, Corel Video Studios, Adobe Premier, Sony Vegas, Camtasia, and Final Cut.
do you have any idea of why this camera would turn on and off by itself ? i had the old n4 and it was hardwired but this one doesn’t work
It is hard to diagnose without troubleshooting it in person, but most common causes of auto shut down is the a loose connection in the power cable or car cigarette lighter port.
How 24 hr parking mode work ? I mean to say do we connect direct with battery ?
Yes you have to buy the hardwired kit which is not included in the box. Then you need to connect it to a live wire in your car which means there should be power in that cable even when the car ignition key is OFF.

Great video, but i have a question. How come you don't turn on the loop recording?
I did now, at first I didn't want the camera to over write footage over old footage, but now I see that if I don't do that the Micro SD card will fill up very quickly.
What if you want to watch it live feed or access to downloaded footage on your phone once you leave the car parked somewhere?
Reason why because if someone was to break into your car… you think they will leave the dash cam? Never. So how will it help me if i want to recover footage when my camera is stolen along with the sd in it?
Unfortunately there is no way to retrieve the footage if the take the camera. For that you need a camera with a SIM Card for cellular connection and cloud storage.

Yes you can download the videos to your phone and watch them later.

They are all quipped with WiFi so maybe there is a minor software glitch on yours that will be fixed with a firmware update.
