You really need to press the inner part down very hard and slow, then the top comes on very easily. If it is not enough down, it does not come on. If you manage to close it when not down, because you are new to this machine and don't know this, it will scratch in the top and be almost impossible to get off. I saw many slow-juicer reviews. This seems to be the best juicer of them all; also better than the Omega VSJ 843. It is extremely easy to wash. The filter or sieve with little holes, of which there are two, small holes, bigger holes (I did not use yet) - is very easy to wash. You only need to rinse it. All parts get clean by just rinsing. If something would get stuck, which did not happen to me, you can make it turn the other way. The motor inside is also placed in such a way that it is very stable, I was told in the shop. It is an Italian brand. Nobody seems to know these things. To me, I saw reviews of the Omega VSJ 843, this one is very similar, only more stable and no washing required, just to rinse. I think it takes me one minute or maybe two. Of course, plastics take time to dry, so they stay out long to dry. If I do wash it with a brush, I only use a natural brush, no plastic brush and NO sponge, as that scratches plastic and makes for dirt to accumulate very fast, so you then HAVE TO wash it each time. I will n ever use a sponge on my slow-juicer, only my good brush and preferably a handmade one. The best brush I know is from here: www.blindesarbejde.dk. Blind people make them. Then I use only water or natural detergent; absolutely NO perfumes as they are unhealthy and get stuck in the plastic. When you put the filter part inside it, push slow and HARD until it comes down properly and fully. Then you can close the top on it very easily. If it is not down fully and you try to close it, it will get scratched inside in the top and very difficult to remove. This is what baffled me the first 5 or 10 times and mine got scratched. Now I know. I think it must be the best juicer made so far. There are so few reviews on it so people don't know yet how good it is.
Watching the juicer turn is so therapeutic! Also, the ginger adds the perfect kick to the flavour. Love it!

So thanks for nice video and guide I am in Pakistan how I can buy this juicer machine and how much the cost thanks
Hi! I'm glad you liked the video. I paid about $600 USD. You can check the Smeg website for a local vendor. www.smeg.com/smeg-world
Good luck!
Good information on the Smeg juicer 👍🏻
Glad it was helpful!
Why do you keep it closed until the juice gathers, instead of just letting it mix in the bowl? Is that with a specific purpose?
Hi. It's just personal preference. I find it easier to release the juice after it gathers since there is more "water pressure" as it flows out.
Where can I buy SMEG slow juicer?
Hi! Hopefully this link will help you find a store near you.
