  • A quick look around Agia Galini. I apologies now this could be far better but the wind and rain got the better of me.
The beginning of next summer, I will make sure I make a lovely video for this great village.

My wife and I had our first holiday here in 1982. It was just a small village then. Manos Tours was the local coach trip company and our favourite restaurant was the 'black widow's' restaurant. She would make the dishes in the morning and cook them in a big oven ready for lunch. Real home cooked fresh food. My how it has grown!
Every year for 15 years we went back to greek islands after that first holiday!

Just got back from a few days in Agia Galina (October 2023.) I last visited in March 1979, almost 44 years ago. It was VERY different then, but is still every bit as beautiful and tranquil. A huge choice of bars, tavernas, restaurants and quirky little places. Loved the Jazz & Blues bar and Karma, which is the exact same bar (now renamed) that I spent my days in all those years ago, watching the fishermen prepare their nets and enjoying the early spring sunshine.
I have travelled extensively throughout Europe and the Med, and Agia Galini really is "heaven on earth." Only Positano on the Amalfi Coast comes near.
Thank you for an awesome video x

Thank you so much for your lovely message. I would have loved to have seen Galini in 1979. I also really like the Amalfi Coast but my heart is truly here in Crete. Have a lovely winter 🙃🌞🙃
