  • just a quick test to see if this Amazon DH-KTS04 Air Cooler actually does anything - was really too extreme of a test with the windows up and now wndow coverings but the thing does work and I believe it'll be a life saver in a more realistic situation with the windows open.
The Bluetti is still a great bit of gear as you can see

Its an evaporative cooler. Its designed to be pointed at you, not to cool an area or room. It also requires open windows to vent the moisture it puts out. Ints not AC

Thank you Mike for the review! I have an Arctic air and it only cools when the air conditions on or if the temperature is fairly mild

I was thinking about doing a similar test with the cheap Amazon cooler. I think this thing would excel at night, without the sun.
I started to create window coverings a while ago. I basically glued reflective to 1/2inch 3M thinsulate.
I realized that was a bit too thick, so I paused that experiment. My idea was that I could swap the window coverings and In hot sunny days use the reflective side and cold days use the Insulated side.
    I’ll figure something out

"Foresty Forest" did a real cool thing s couple years ago, thinsulate banded with snaps - They're rolled up and there all the time, rolled down and snapped in place at night. The thinsulate and trapped air space to the glass works real well, I plan to copy that same idea... Still waiting on that package

@@AstroVanTribe just watched his video. Such a clean and simple idea, what I’m all about.
Hopefully you’ll get it done before me so I can bum some ideas off of you too 😂

If I missed this in the video I apogize but be real careful with evaporative coolers or you will end up with condensation where you don't want it. Like under your floor or in the frame pieces.

push "in" from the front and it springs back "open" - I had the same issue until I figured it out

    Hi Mike .
Dry heat or no . As other commenters have said I too would be cautious of introducing more water vapour inside the van also . Don't forget the van is an enclosed space so the vapour would have nowhere to go really . Having this on during the night combined with the water vapour in your breath would amount to a not insignificant amount no doubt . At the moment your van also has a decent amount of exposed metal too . The perfect place to form condensation . All this is just armchair theory though . There's no substitute for real world testing . See how it goes over a good few nights and let us "keyboard warriors" know how it goes LOL .
I'd like to see and hear your experiences with the Omnia too . I have thought about getting one since I first heard of them here on Kent Survival's second review channel

I'd just like more opinions and usage in different scenarios before I spend the hard earned .
    Thanks.
    Drive safe

If your windows are cracked you should be fine... I've lived out of this van for up to 4 months at a time with no issues

Not quite the instructions to load the rolls, the water which is the most important details needed..

Seems like common sense stuff to me, I did that without needing to think about it.... The instructions. One with it, u was just checking whether or not it actually does anything at all - this video is a test, not a "how to operate" the thing

I understand. One question please if I may. Are there 2 sets of rolls? Does de ac come with 2 already installed or do we need to install the ones in the package?
