And also India's ATAGS completed it's second round of confermative trials 2 days back paving the way to induction into Indian army . Both the guns are true example of Indian innovation. One is developed by public sector company and second is a true example of privet public partnership. ATAGS had scored highest firing range ( 48.5 KM ) .

My mother was with my father in the above places. On that sad day when India was divided, his regiment was also divided, tables, chairs, trophies of war, regimental colors were also divided. The entire Indian army was divided. Only tears could tell the story of that sad day. My father was posted in Kashmir near the LOC with Pakistan. I remember those days. The day would be quiet, but the night would be full of exchange of gun fire. Everything would settle down before sunrise. Nobody got hurt. Everywhere you could see heavy gun placements, camouflage, tanks on patrol duties and soldiers in trenches. I had the liberty to ride on tanks and roam as I wished. Another interesting thing was that the migrating Pathans used to cross the LOC and come to the Indian side for grazing their their livestock. I used to visit their camps with my Kashmiri friend Madan. His family was very close to my mother. The scenes and sights of a Pathan camp is exactly as described by the great Munshi Prem Chand ji.
