And if you go over a rough track many times the car (bolide) will start to lose some of its ride height or start to bend at the seams of the bodywork.
the beamng devs are some of the best in the industry. I have over 1200 hours in the 8 years I've been playing and the core gameplay has always been fresh and enjoyable. every update they bring drastic QoL changes that make you want to sink hours into exploring the features all over again

Rigs of Rods.... ech... who's now remember this true sandbox?... Good old times... Probably best part of RoR was Monster Trucks mod with these tons of monsters in HQ and tons of real tracks for banging.. :)
Should have started with Rigs of Rods. I know it isn’t the same game but it is the basis and the same team. I remember playing RoR and seeing the demo video for BeamNG and being absolutely blown away. A shame it is not more well known, it is truly one of the greatest car games of all time.
@@CreeplayEU at least for the non clipping collision calculation, Two minute papers has made a video showing that its faster than the old method (idk if the old method is what beamng uses) but yes tearing should impact a lot more
@@CreeplayEU mhm! very interesting change in engine, but i suppose Torque3D was a better choice since it handled rigid-body physics better than Cryengine. that and it was open source so they wouldn't have to pay Crytek an arm and a leg for licensing
@@SirPootington Torque3D was and still is the best choice for beamNG because it's directly made and optimized to be good in soft-body physics, they have full access to the engine's source code and everything is how it needs to be. Im always just tired of like forza players saying "bemng very bed graphic, use Unrel Engin" and I just always need to explain why it's bad idea to even think about it, just look at the fake soft-body games made in Unreal Engine

@@JALC-x Only problem with that for me is that I would prefer not paying ~£55/$60/€60 for a xbox controller. I am willing to give up some of the experience to not have to pay that much.
