Great videos just discovered your channel! Also I just refurbished a Singer 176-22 fur machine which I am learning how to use. How do you secure the chain stitch so it will not unravel?
If sewing by hand, I'd say YES to cold tape. You fur will stay straight and you'd surprised at how much better it will finish. Velcro is preferred you can easily wear around neck with velcro. But some use elastic or elastic loop with a button. You could do 2 fancy buttons on top, with elastic loop and wear it with buttons showing at front to the side. Good luck. Samuel Bauer Unlimited has cold tape. It's like $7.00 a 50-yard roll.
Thank you,very much!!!
You are welcome!

Hi Deanna. If sewing by hand, is the cold tape needed? Also, is there another type of closure that works well on fur headbands?
