Lovely spotting man! I’d love to go to Vancouver some time, but I don’t get to fly to often. Usually just to Florida once a year or so, but I really would like to see more of Canada
That's gorgeous, Alex, thank you. I'll be transiting there in May (LHR-YYZ-YVR-YYJ) and June (YYJ-YVR-LHR). Vancouver is in my 'top 5' list of the world's most beautiful cities, along with Cape Town, Hong Kong and Seattle.
What a cracker of a video! I am nerdy enough to watch it all. Planes are magic. Physics and engineering too, but mostly magic. I was on that exact QANTAS flight from SYD, which was just under 14 hrs long. I waved! Did you see me? ;-) it's pretty cool to see us land ! Thanks mate!
Wow amazing so many planes!!! I recently flew into Vancouver from Seoul with a 787-9 Dreamliner visiting family. Going out from Toronto because ac cancelled from ywg to YVR :(
Hi guys I’ll be in Vancouver late next month. Just wondering if someone can tell me a good spot for plane spotting regular plane and also sea planes. Thanks in advance
Great video as always. I really like YVR for some reason, it looks like a good airport. However, I wonder why you didn't have the LH 747-400 which flies to Vancouver every day?
That makes sence. I think, they fly the 747 next summer again, that is what their website says at least. As my family and me travel to Vancouver during June and July too, I saw thay LH flies the 747. Unfortunately, I couldn't influence my parents to go for the Lufthansa flight, this means that we will fly AC's 787-9. Very sad.
At YVR it depends on which direction they are taking off and landing. If landing and departing 08, they don’t use 08L for departures because of the bridge right there so you will see a North arrival/south departure kind of setup. Not exclusively but more so than if they are landing and departing 26 then both runways will see a pretty good mix of arrivals and departures
Truly amazing how many airlines can fill a plane to Vancouver. Great show Alex.
I'm not surprised, Vancouver is a large city and a popular destination.
Haha, You need to visit Vancouver!
Watch the increase in flights to vancouver once Chinese airlines start operating at pre pandemic levels again
If you want to go on an Alaska cruise, Vancouver is the place to start. Also the Rockies are just there + skiing.
Fantastic job Alex! Live at YYC but love going to YVR. Such a beautiful place to visit when the weather is nice.
Nice catches! Great to see the Turkish A350 at the end, that was originally destined to Aeroflot, before certain things happened!
Awesome plane spotting video from one of my favourite airports in Canada.....Cheers man
Incredible YVR spotting footage!! So many great catches.
Omg I have been waiting for this for so long thanks so much Alex
Fantastic video! And that 1st funky looking United plane got me laughing... 😂
Lovely spotting man! I’d love to go to Vancouver some time, but I don’t get to fly to often. Usually just to Florida once a year or so, but I really would like to see more of Canada
Nice captures. Like the Turkish A359 that was supposed to go to Aeroflot
Great video Alex, thank you!!

That's a whole lot of content packed in to 16 minutes. 👍
i love the turkish a350 that was clearly supposed to go to aeroflot
Turkoflot

Nice planes and video Alex! I just have to wonder where you are in YVR to get those pics.
Hope to see your new one on the Feb 22 Porter flight to YYZ.
Neat video!
I enjoyed that. Does it mean you have been grounded? I was surprised byt the number of 777 flights AC make to Toronto.
What comes to YVR in the last week of march, I’m going there for spring break
Wow amazing so many planes!!! I recently flew into Vancouver from Seoul with a 787-9 Dreamliner visiting family. Going out from Toronto because ac cancelled from ywg to YVR :(
Hey Alex,
Great video!
Can you share your spotting place?
Very interesting to see so many airlines land at YVR compared to YYC! Do you know if the loads on each plane are over 80% full?
15:13 interesting hybrid livery on the Turkish A350
Looked like Delta colours to me
@@deltaphil2375 no the aircraft was painted in Aeroflot colours but you know what happened before delivery, so Turkish Airlines took it
CuteseL. I said Delta not Aeroflot
This is my home airport yet I live on Vancouver Island in behind the Nanaimo airport
hey alex! where were you spotting from, its cool that you can see the whole runway!
Bom dia..! Amo Vancurver.
This can’t possibly be Vancouver. I see blue sky. 😜
I was just as surprised as you are!
Well we have the best climate in Canada why wouldn’t we have blue skies?
@@harleygenovy3632 Tell me you haven’t lived anywhere else in Canada without telling me.
Nice footage Alex! Was this filmed near the new Avis lot?

where are the locations you’re filming from??
Hey Alex, was this on November 12th?
What day and time was the Philippine airlines one because it might be my flight
Great video as always. I really like YVR for some reason, it looks like a good airport. However, I wonder why you didn't have the LH 747-400 which flies to Vancouver every day?
LH has switched over to Eurowings for both YVR and YYZ currently.
It had switched to Eurowings for the winter season already, not sure if it's coming back to YVR next summer yet.
Very sad.
Very odd seeing EuroWings here in North America
Please show the places where you are spotting from. Is the north runway primarily used for arrivals and the south runway for departures?
At YVR it depends on which direction they are taking off and landing. If landing and departing 08, they don’t use 08L for departures because of the bridge right there so you will see a North arrival/south departure kind of setup. @@gregneedoba3927Do you know the locations where Alex is recording from?

@@anthonykurio3065 yes

What da hell YVR-YYZ need a 777
Yeah, multiple of that + some dreamliners too
I thought they only use 737 :)
Some quite interesting differences between cargo pilots' flying and commercial pilots'
