My brain just exploded with the amount of rooms/platforms/obstacles that you all managed to make with just gums and teeth - not to mention the dental equipment. I'm disturbed AND DELIGHTED. This is going to be incredible!!
I’ve honestly been wondering about this, and maybe the “villain” is not real at all, but a projection from one of Raz’s (super psychic?) siblings, who has the same family fear? Maybe they don’t even know they’re doing it, much like how Oleander unknowingly projecting to other people’s minds in his sleep?
I'm going to say this again the gypsy is lilliys grand mother. Just by looking at her eyes from the first trailer and comparing them to Lilly and Truman's she has to be related to them, so I will reffer to her as, Diana Zenato.
cause no official game play is ready maybe!? to trailers are meant to give a teaser or a hey look what is in production ffs these were jump cuts of yes actual gameplay but games take TIME to make and TIME to code and TIME to do all the levels, power up's, side missions and so on

I used to stay up all day and night when I was a kid to play this game. I must've completed it a hundred times. It's because of the original psychonauts that I am pursuing a career in gaming. Thank you so much :) Good luck with this game I can't wait.

OMG THIS IS MY CHILDHOOD! I think the first game came out in 2005? I was 4 when me and my dad used to play Psychonauts. I still play the first one sometimes 😭😂 I’m excited for part two!

I just realized that all the dentists office portraits, other that the one with Lily, all essentially give the message of keeping secrets, and the one painting with the 2 eyes definitely makes me think that Dr. Loboto has a deeper connection to this Gypsy

That lady in the last scene looked a lot like one of the galochio's in the poster you find in the meat circus stage in psychonauts 1. Very excited for this game!
The person at 1:00 is most likely one of the The Galochios, the family that cursed the Aquato (Raz's family) to all die by water. The water and building structures flooding it match up with some simlar themes explored there.
So it's true? I'm though that his father made up a story about curse that Raz could be a psychic. Of course to keep him safe, but still he could make it up.

Nobody seems to be talking about the new figment design. No longer fading in and out of existence, fairly bright colors, and with designs that, from what we see with the purple eye figment that Raz picks up, are going to foreshadow things more, while in the first game they merely reinforced the themes of everything else happening in the mental world.
I cannot wait for this game. I’m doing my best to wait patiently because I know it must be terribly difficult to develop such a game independently. I’m just very hyped is all.

That is a lot of teeth..... reminds me of my visits to the dentist, to extract my teeth, all the anxiety, all the pain because the anesthesia didn't take effect enough, all the cackling sounds and the feel of my teeth being yanked out..... and my long term phobia of them. I'm going to like this game! Can't wait for it to come out!! (You may think I'm crazy, but I have to face my fear of dentists some point in my life, right? Might as well do it while having fun)
Okay, I know everyone is thinking "Loboto's mind". But here's the thing, we've already been in his mind, in "Rhombus of Ruin", and we fixed him (partially). Honestly, I think we're seeing something a little deeper. We start off in a boring office with everyone in boring suits. Then Loboto pops in. Instead of the usual psycho portal transition to show we entered his mind, the office itself starts to morph and change around him. Then it all ends with a villain from Raz's past. I think this whole trailer is all just a nightmare Raz is having on his way to the Motherlobe.
Gotta appreciate the Synchronicity of Psychonauts Universe and Psychonautics... cause this game's trippy af, and I'd be willing to bet, the creater's consider themselves psychonauts irl.

1 is Mia and the "lady" somewhat connected (family members) they both have the same type of eyes. 2. Is that lady a connected with raz's family's curse with water. My guess is that she can control nightmares. In both the first and this trailer she is in water and with the hand appearing I can bet that's what she can do. Look at this and Jack Blacks psychodelic level, there seems to be a lot of emphasis on body horror and human senses (like the five sense or the sensation of pain in the mind). I wonder if those will be running themes.

It’s on PS2, PS3, PS4, XBOX 360, Xbox One, PC and maybe another. Getting it on the Xbox or later PS3/4 will show achievements (not sure about the PC version). I’ve played it when it first came out and 30+ times total. After 14 years of playing and getting 100%, there’s still more I’m learning about it due to the many secrets it has. It’s one of the best games I’ve ever played. Also, if you go to Fig.com and pledge, you can get the first game included with the second game depending on which reward package you choose. If you have the PS4 VR, then the Rhombus of Ruin is also really good to play first as it will connect the first and second game and it’s VR, so that’s automatically cool.
So excited for this. Don't remember when the Kickstarter was, but it was the first I ever contributed to and was super happy to do so. Can't wait to play. Looks amazing!

We also found that Rasputin's family are psychic too, so it would have to be a truly formidable foe indeed. It could be possible... That this game's villain, and the one who cursed his family.... MIGHT be ONE in the same. Or at least the same family line. Which is also supported by the sight of the watery hand at the end of the trailer... You know the hand that always tries to drag Raz under in the first game.
Honestly of all the unsettlingly satisfying things in Psychonauts, I am *so* glad they kept the mad dentist around! So disturbing yet at the SAME TIME I can't wait to see what happens!
Love the new enemy types and the new fight style! Hopefully they won't interfere too much with the nostalgia aspect of the game... Also, with Raz working in a cubicle now, I wonder if we'll get minigames like "Paperwork". xD

IIRC in one of the dev interviews for Psychonauts 2 they did mention that they wanted to explore the curse on his family in the sequel.
