  • What is The Best Climbing Bromeliad? Although Bromeliads whose pups grow on stolons are great for installing on trees, are there any other structures that make some bromeliads better than others? Hint: There is one important characteristic that makes some of our Bromeliads the Best climbers of all! growing our bromeliads is really easy, so come on everybody, "Let's get growing and have some fun!"

Your videos are so educational. Thank you for putting in the time and effort.
Maybe one day we can get a tour of the tangle and see your beautiful work?

If you had a hard time figuring out the spelling of the names, here you go:
Neoregelia ampullacea San Diego - good hanging basket, doesn't climb.
Neoregelia Pauciflora - great hanger but doesn't climb.
Aechmea Correia-Araujoi - Does climb well because of arial roots.
Neoregelia Olens Brazil - Does climb with arial roots but not as well.
Aechmea Chantinii - larger brom that will hold onto trees with.

Interesting topic. So if I cut off one of the stolens to have a separate plant will it live apart from the others

Sure, but wait until the pup is approximately 1/3 to 1/2 the size of the adult before separating. I would wait until there are additional pups before doing that so that there will be multiple points of attachment first.
