The Glitch Mob is the fucking bomb. Didn't know their live shows had so much effort put into them. I feel the flow of passion. I surely NEED to go to one in the near future. The most likely won't come to Calgary though :( Might just have to spend a few hundies and fly down.
Hansol Saw them at Badlands last year, they fucking killed it. They're doing a show in Vancouver this weekend if you're willing to make the drive.
Hansol yeah they killed it at reading last year, they weren't playing on this beast though haha i'd love to see that x
Hansol I saw them at Leads last summer but unfortunately it was only a 45 min set :/ Think they were just playing normal midi controllers and stuff not this thing, not sure I was drunk :)
renewable69 paha yeah same
Hansol Saw them in silver springs last year and this thing was crazy. The bass made wind in the section I was in. You should definitely try to get to a concert soon because the new music and this combined is amazing. Also another great plus is their concerts are not as expensive as some other bands/ artists are so you should go to a concert soon.
I saw them at North Coast in Chicago a couple years ago. I had seen them 2.5 times live (half time for a DJ set without the Blade) before that. The moment I knew this was really special for live performance electronic music was when I heard them mess up live.
It was subtle, lasted a split second, and didn't impact my enjoyment of the show at all. Most people who would be more casual fans (one's who haven't seen them live as many times) likely didn't notice, but the guys on stage did. They quickly glanced at eachother, got back on timing, and continued without a hitch.
But this subtle event told me this is a true live performance of electronic music. It has a fallible, human element to it which is what live music is suppose to be about. It something I haven't seen/heard before or since. You can say a lot of electronic concerts are "just press play", you cannot even to begin to argue that is the case with The Glitch Mob.
What I think is really interesting about The Glitch Mob is that their music sorta creates a genre of its own. It's not really dubstep because it has a unique flow to it and a lot of emotion built within as well but obviously it's not orchestrated as well, yet it still has that movement and whole feel that an actual orchestra would have. It's like an amazing combination of the two and the way that it all works so well in the end is just mind blowing to me. And yes, you guys have been a major inspiration to me and my own music which I've created using Audiosauna. Thank you 😊
This is how you know these guys are passionate about their music. No easy way out. If you want something done right, do it yourself.
Beyond stoked to see you guys this friday in Vancouver!
I'm mainly a fan of metal music and have seen top tier bands like NIN, Tool, Metallica, Alice In Chains, etc... but The Glitch Mob stands out as one of, if not THE best live show I've ever seen. Can't wait 'til they come around again.
It amazes me how they are already working on the Blade 2.0 which they will be performing with this year in 2018. In my opinion, their music is ahead of our current technology
Big brain technology.
remember finding a track by edIT on vimeo (i believe it was Ants) and i searched whole day for the artist. then discovered glitch mob and more from edIT. awesome band
By FAR the coolest show I've ever been to. You guys are amazing! Thanks for all your hard work, dedication and creativity!!
Been a long time Glitch Mob fan ever since their remix of Coheed's Feathers! YEARS after becoming a fan I FINALLY got to see them a few weeks ago at Hard Summer! THEY KILLED IT! Although I wish they played at night and more stuff from their first album I absolutely loved the experience God Bless The Mob!
Still the best production of a "dj" show I've ever seen

Saw them last year in March, you need to see the blade in person to see how amazing it is
Nice
I remember Animus Vox was the first track I heard.
It became my anthem for DH MTB thrashing.
Everything The Glitch Mob produce is pure excellence x

Saw The Glitch Mob on New Years in New Orleans at Republic and didn't know allot about them and damn I was sold 2 songs into their set. These guys are the truth. They earned a new fan that went out and bought their albums the next day.
amazing group of people
Congratulations guys!!!..BIG things are waiting for you in the ART of music.continue on your way to bring happiness and life into those of us who lack either.I'm a huge fan and if I had the opportunity to join you guys in by going to see you live near me at hard summer or sit and unleash massive notes to load into lil kim that have been brewing in my skull for along time I would.meeting you fellas would be awesome but I'm definitely going to try and make your show at hard summer in Pomona.thanks guys.guide.
I would kill to see you guys. I live in Vegas but im not 18 yet and it so frustrating being so close yet so far. Love you guys and your music. I'll see you guys one day.
I'm so far. Yet not 18. I wanna go to a live performance so bad. . ^.
Biggest complaint of electronic music shows is that they just "press play". But this is simply amazing. Piecing apart that digital track and playing it by hand in a trio. Damn, that's some awesome shit.
Love this and absolutely love the music!!!!
That's awesome. Thanks for sharing!
And inspire you do! Thanks for the awesome music guys!! Looking forward to future projects and tours :]
Sounds like there's a huge lag on the input - are you compensating live, or isn't it there in your monitors?
See you on Southside!
The best group!
thanks for the sweet documentary guys... been a fan for a long time. you guys are an inspiration for all - taking your dreams and making them big. it was cool to see how your vision came to be, and it is a good example for others in that having a vision is very important
The shows are epic!

Very inspirational! I really believe this is the future of electronic music.
You guys need to come to the UK!
DEATHbyCAI They did...

Amazing!! Nice job guys!
Well, you've definitely inspired me Glitch Mob. A fellow musician. It must be awesome to have the ability to be creative and make what your imagination desires. A drive to help me keep on pushing. Thank you.
Awesome video :D one day I will finally experience one of your live shows
you guys are awesome :)

Inspiration
Great video! I like your music) Hi from Minsk, Belarus)
Need them to come UK again soon x
Very nice!
NEW ALBUM PLEAASEEEEEE!!
Amazing
That was inspiring ! : D
Nice work of design and engineering, great setup!!! Just sounded strange to me: At 12:43 Bongos??? A common error to call any drum a bongo, just call 'em drums. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bongo_drum . And at 13:10 when the drums kick in (not the sequenced ones) the delay between the strike and the sound is unbearable, totally out of sync. It looks like you have no idea of playing a drum in time, and I'm sure that is NOT the case. A show to see when you arrive in Spain.
Mad video =)
heavenly
Name of the song playing at 3:15? Recognise the tune but can't remember the name...

Cool music, cool dudes, cool set design etc. but a bit over-hyped as something "new" as even in Finland, there have been live electronic acts since the 80s, with actual synths, playing live. No Ableton, no Macs, no massive signal aggregator etc.
Not to mention international acts like Chicane, Giuseppe Ottaviani (Nu Nrg/PureNRG), Skrillex, BT, Shpongle, just to name a few, who do a similar stage show with live elements (or fully live).
Not saying this isn't awesome, but why hype it so much? I get that it is unique, in a way, as it can't be anything but.
***** You might be giving them a bit too much credit.
***** I do get that they're on the cutting edge, not trying to say they aren't. I just don't see what the hype-worthy thing here is. I guess they make it look simple.
+Fred Carlton 4 ipads per stage, some snares or whatever, and a mixer.
What a fucking advancement.
***** Yeah thanks wasn't that hard when the BLEEDING EDGE TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENT INSTRUMENT uses 4 ipads instead of a keyboard piano.
@@nerdmatics I get you man, seems like an incredibly advanced rig. Good explanation, sorry internet people who have never done anything similar wanna be dicks

The reason we don't see more live EDM is because it usually sounds stupid as hell. Just because you throw a bunch of money at a unique live instrument(s) doesn't mean you invented anything.
Missy jonsey lol there is so much live EDM, it's insane. You can;t expect 3 people to play over 20 different instruments at the same time. You pretty much can play two or three instruments per person, but there will always be parts that are triggered. It's easy with acoustic instruments because there are a set number of instruments for each member to play, but in electronic music there is, maybe, 20 more sounds and instruments in every song than just drums, guitar, bass, and piano.
And, they didn't claim to invent anything. They're actually pretty obviously humble about their performance and their music, if you even watched the documentary all the way through. No one is forcing you to like electronic music. If you don;t enjoy it, don;t watch these kinds of videos and make comments that don;t add anything to the discussion
We need you in Russia again!
