shoulder to shoulder is allowed. When you have the ball, you can 'stiff arm' (Like what akinfenwa and lukaku does a lot), but not extend you arm out fully. You can also push and shove, but not excessively. U can tackle the ball first and legally take down the player. Duels and coming together is common in trying to win headers. Hopefully that clears most of the physicality rules in football. Also another thing is goalkeepers tend to be super protected, like if u sometimes do legal physicality to them, like clash when trying to win a header, the ref will foul you, whilst they can legit get away with dirty tackles without winning the ball in some cases.
Fun Fact about Sead Kolasinac: while playing for Arsenal, two people tried to rob him and Mesut özil on the street. They were armed and on a motorcycle and had helmets on. He didn’t care, jumped out the care and started punching them and the one guy drove away and the other one ran away. Shit got so much hype cause kolasinac is such a savage he literally fight to armed guys with helmets on and got them running away

Stop over exaggerating it mate there’s video evidence showing you’re capping. For starters it was two guys on a little moped, only one of them had a “weapon” and it was a little rolling pin and Kolasinac just stood there while they prodded him with it a couple times until he flinched to punch them and then they ran off. Yeah he’s tough as nails but there’s no need to over exaggerate the story. He never punched anyone, they were armed with only a rolling pin and they didn’t even attempt to actually hit him they just stood there and prodded him with it lmao you’re acting like he took on two armed gunmen. As for the helmets they’re literally wearing standard moped helmets lol you’re acting like they had top grade military combat helmets on. A bloody rolling pin and a moped helmet is hardly scary for a hard man like Kolasinac is it

Akinfenwa is a lower league legend in the UK and a funny guy. Strongest player ever.
You can get pretty physical as long as you are fighting to win position and touching the ball first.
Also some referees allow to play more physical than others so all these players are playing at the limit of the rules so to speak.

Big body is ok for gk & defenders(cb mostly) and cdm maybe some old school nr9 but overall the game is faster now compared to a few decades ago and now its rare to have a big boy on the field in a more active role.Traore is the exception here but the guy would be better if he was a bit lighter.

Unfortunately, for players with such strenghth I can take the example of Esiti shown in the video. From a PAOK fan's perspective (since he played for us for 3 years) his strength is frightening but when it comes to the playmaking ability and decision making he is very mediocre and makes mistake after mistake. We gave him the nickname "tank" which is justified judging by his abilities but other than that and a couple of good interceptions, he was average at best for us.

Also, when strength battles happen benefit of the doubt is given to the player in possession of the ball.
Also a lot of what decides if something is a foul is whether or not the person touches the ball. If you shove someone reallly hard, but your foot touched the ball as you did it, it probably wouldn’t be a foul. Whereas if you didn’t attempt to play the ball and just rammed into the other player it would be a foul.

Most of these pushes you see in these clips are actually fouls that aren't called. Only push allowed is shoulder to shoulder push when both are in front of the ball.
None of these were fouls lol. What are you talking about. It was all clean and about upper body strength. Football is a contact sport and strength is a huge contributing factor. Look at Ronaldo, Salah, Lewandowski some of the best players bulk up and get big so they can push defenders and hold them off when they have the ball. Yeah there are some light ayers who rely more on speed than strength but strength is a massive attribute in football and was used fairly in this video. Some of them were close to a foul but most referees would play on in this situation

@@SSS-ie6mh That is not true. I'm a referee at semi pro level and soon to be pro referee. The rules are that you can use your upper body strength to a degree. Only dragging players is a fould pushing and bumping is not. Pushing is only a foul if you push them from the back or side on but it is fun fact 100% legal to push someone from the front it rarely happens as most footballers move so quick it is hard to get a frontal push in. Most of these were clean. No pushing in the back or dragging. Simple upper body strength. Never ever a foul.
