Looking forward to the MH1 Playthrough. Can't wait to see how much stuff I have forgotten about that game. The only things I do remember from the top of my head is that Basarios and Plesioth made me quit that game. Poor little teenage me was to impatient for those two back then.^^
It kind of upsad me that if someone deserve to be highlight it in monster hunter community has to be you, a mean beside Gaijin hunter, although when Gaijin joined MH I was already a Solo hunter, not a legend but a Fable. Best regards!!

Honestly I don't think I would have fallen in love with monster hunter without Josh and Cotton' videos, and on top of that I definitely wouldn't have fallen in love with the great sword without Josh.
My brother introduced me into Mr and I loved it, but I didn't fully appreciate the world of Mr and the sheer creative thinking that went into each design until ragegamingvideos was introduced to me

Monster Hunter Avengers ASSEMBLE!!! Ruri is Cap (because shield obviously), Cotton is Ironman (because i don´t want him to be Hawkeye), Gaijin is the Hulk (because he is chill by default but twitter can bring out his inner rage) and Rage is Thor (because BIG WEAPON = BIG DAMAGE).
It’s really strange being part of the first fleet and seeing other hunters from the other fleets having a jovial time and enjoying their hunts. Brings a tear of joy to this old hunters eye.

1:27:45 my idea for a “middle ground” would be having the same charm/deco farming/creation in Rise, but then in G rank or whatever, make level 4 decos random quest rewards like in worldborne. And maybe certain talismans like world talismans too?
Maybe they can do on a future game, they decos you get then like rise, sunbreak but the talismas you do they like rise but using a sistem like world or iceborne that a item unique to talisman sistem will drop on hunts, they jewel already drop so is no much diferent, but reduces the boring grind on the end game
Yet in the meantime while Ruri struggled with a hammer to break the horn, I just had my normal bow build and broke them easily. I wonder if element broke the horns faster. The Monster I am (Savage) Deviljho, I always eat and am hungry earned a specific nicknamed during Rurikhans stream and I enrage quickly but can rage further
Melodic slap! I feel with hunting horn everyone likes the default X+A because it does more damage and everyone seems to think it's slower. But I love melodic slap, and the fact you can cancel out of the end with another X+A or even use that automatic last kick up to get an A in is just so good. So yeah I love melodic slap over the overhead smash.
I think the best part of hammer is the fact that if you go back to monster hunter 1 after playing any weapon in 5th gen, it feels like it's a completely different weapon. Sns has 1 combo, great sword has a total of 3 different moves, none of them charge but they loop infinitely, and lance is... well... lance. But then there's hammer, you got your charge with it's spin and it's charged smack, your 3 hit combo, you're missing your big bang combo but the basics are still there.
It was actually that new challenge arena with Tiggy that made me want to look into Dodgebolt specifically for those chargey monsters with bow. I was always using regular charging dodge and getting smacked by Tigrex. Then in that arena with the Khezu bow I was like wtf? This is working 👀 Gonna need to rebuild my Chammy bow set with Dodgebolt I think since it's already spread lol
Hmm yeah honestly I just imagined that the plates were just a large/old scale which is why you tend to always find them from tail cuts. Tho knowing about the reverse scale lore a long while back it explains alot
Finally my monster hunter content creator infinity gauntlet is complete now I can grow herbs and Honey to have many mega potions and faint easy knowing that this amazing video exists! Such wonderful voices to hear together !!! Thank you for all you do (making awesome videos). 8^)

1:37:00 + tcs kinda invalidated with every monsters in rise is move so fast. even when the monster knock down time you cant even have a normal full TCS (1 ,1 ,Max or 1, 2, max) they kinda semi force you to rage slash in general thats how i feel
Me and my friends called it "Around the World" when Silver Rath flew in circles for a long time on the old games. So It's almost same as Rathalos World Tour! 🤣
The problem with hammer in Rise is that if you aren't doing impact crater you're doing it wrong. It's so powerful it makes every other hammer attack useless in comparison. It's actually made the weapon boring if you use it optimally.
On the other hand if you’re not chasing meta DPS, they added one of the weapons coolest additions with Spirit Mode and switching back and forth. They should buff Spirit Mode to balance it more and nerf impact crater and the weapon would be really interesting.
@@nuke2099 it means the rest of the moveset is totally valid and you can easily kill a monster without ever using Impact Crater. The only reason to spam it is if you want the most damage possible every minute of the hunt.

As a charge blade main I wish charge blade had switch skill where you use the spinning the axe head as a turbo unicycle. After all the charge blade needs to stay close to it's cousin the gun lance.
I remember in mhfu running back to the camp and dashing into the bed to try and outlive yian garugas poison and having a single tick left Before the healing kicked in just to have to do it again and die miserably.
Gaijin: what is one of the switch skills that you love? Me: … Savage Axe Mode for the Charge Blade. I LOVE savage axe mode, and carving through a monster with what is essentially a circle-saw is one of the most satisfying and badass things I can think of.
Deviljho has been my favorite monster since forever. Thanks to these gentlemen, I can never see him again without hearing the theme from Jaws being hummed.

I'm a bit older myself so I ask whenever I can but not everyone will explain what "yeet" is. It was explained in a meme to me one day and it just clicked.
Surprisingly I'm the opposite of Dyno in that I used to adore Rise hh but after replaying a bit of 4U I really like the older game hh more. It's more satisfying hitting all those notes and actually playing songs. Old gen hh with rise's invincibility frame perform would honestly be the best thing ever and I hope the mh devs don't scrap old hh just because of Rise hh's popularity
It's all my monster hunter dads in the same podcast, holy crap On the subject of endgame, i think they could fix the problems fairly simply, though i don't know how easy it would be to implement from a technical standpoint. Basically, craftable charms, rng decos, but decos can only drop skills that match the monster you're hunting. want fire attack? hunt a rathalos. want earplugs? hunt a tigrex. obviously, tigrex isn't the only armor set with earplugs, so something easier would still be viable.
Thought for decoration hunt, separate the decos into categories with specific random hunts that pick a skill at random to reward you. Like attack skill quests with a monster that changes every day/week.
I think the equal dragon weapon at least exists as an idea or concept within the ancient civilization. Maybe a blueprint or something. I really don’t doubt that they would have at least thought of something like that lmao.
Axe Hopper also fixes the SAED. I only play Axe Hopper because it gives you a great opportunity to aim the SAED midair. I went from whiffing most SAEDs to almost always landing them.
This was a fun listen! Fun contrary, I hate hit lag, especially with the tcs on the greatsword. Feel like I get the hit lag while the monster doesn’t and it’s free to move however it pleases, so I end up getting hit on occasion because of it. 😂

Dropping a massive deuce while blasting the Tigrex theme while dousing yourself in cheap perfume. < This is what this collab leads to.
When it came to switch axe, the clutch claw wasnt so great, but the flinch shot from attacking and the repositioning with it was amazing.
