    Here is part 2 of my coffee dripper tutorial - the trimming! Finish your pieces off by trimming (or turning, what do you call it?) off excess clay. It's my favourite part of the process, it's so satisfying.

    This is awesome! Can you show us how you glaze this piece? I know the material is important for flow rate and I’m sure the glaze could impact that. Also I feel like a video of you using the brewer would be really nice :)

    Thanks for a great video. Thats a lovely coffee dripper. I started throwing last year and I’m also left handed. You’ve made me feel less freaky as I throw right handed (I used YT to teach myself) but also have to trim detail with my left.

    beautiful! do you have issues with the coffee pouring through too fast? Seems like a large drain hole but I cant wait to try this design

    Hey Maaae, I have a problem with my speckled clay, that I used for the first time now and I‘m really desperate 😢 When I was trimming it, it left a LOT of deep lines and holes and it looked like a mess, no matter how much I trimmed. I just don‘t understand what I‘m doing wrong. (My other clay looks really good after trimming.) The clay is Sibelco WMS2502 with 25% (0-0,2mm) chamotte. Or are these lines normal? And is it normal that it hurts while throwing? I would be very thankful if you would answer ❤

    Love it! Thank you! What about the ridges on the inside. Is that not necessary? Will it drip ok without any of those textures on the inside? Thanks!

    • @MaeCeramics
      @MaeCeramics  Год назад +1

      I honestly find no real need for those, that's why I add the hole on the side. But the coffee drips no issue at all!

      @@MaeCeramics thank you for getting back to me! Fwiw, I made one with and one without ridges. Seems like ridges made coffee flow faster so i like the no ridges because they provide stronger coffee.

    • @MaeCeramics

      I encourage you to experiment with sizes as it all depends on your shrinkage of clay, what the piece will sit on etc. I just played around until I got the size that worked for me
