This video was taken before the 2023 PG Jatiroto sugar mill/milling harvest season, Lumajang, East Java.
Honestly it's amazing that none of these trains derail and/or get stuck, considering the absolutely awful state those tracks are in. The must be very old and never get replaced or even re-aligned/fixed. Kinda impressive, actually. These people are obviously hard workers who just make do with what they can get and still get on with the job in hand and make do in life. Have to admire them for that.

They derail a lot. You just weren't shown videos of them derailing. Plus, they were going slower than an 80 year old on a bicycle
why would they be carrying rails, if they do no maintenance?
@@Gavsta40 - At 6:32 he explains that the rails are mobile rails for the sugar cane fields during harvest, to connect to the main line. So these rails are for temporary use, for specific locations. Not meant to replace the exciting main track.
Seandainya rel itu dilakukan perawatan bantalannya diremajakan kasih batu balas kemudian ketika tidak ada musim giling digunakan sebagai kereta wisata betapa sangat menariknya melihat pemandangan sawah dan suasana kereta masuk lorong lorong pekarangan rumah warga .. dgn begitu jika jalur itu masih terus diaktifkan tidak mustahil sampai kapanpun tidak akan punah

While such temporary rails are important for carrying harvested sugarcane from part of plantation that is far from the permanently-laid rails, strict weight restriction for temporary rails prohibits regular-sized locomotives to run on it, hence it became the reason why only small diesels (especially those built by Schöma) allowed to pull freight cars loaded with sugarcane directly from the sugarcane field (beside utilizing water buffaloes to perform similar tasks).

Il s'agit d'un train de transport de canne à sucre en Indonésie qui subira la saison de récolte de canne à sucre (saison de mouture).
Le train ne circule que pendant la saison de récolte de la canne à sucre, dans cette vidéo la locomotive effectue une inspection avant le passage du train régulièrement alors que la saison de récolte de la canne à sucre approche à grands pas.

@@ahmadarif29 PG Jatibarang sudah ngga beroperasi mas.. Kayanya yang masih menggiling di PG Banjaratma sama PG Pangkah Slawi (Tegal). Tapi untuk kereta lorinya daerah Brebes & Tegal sama sekali ngga ada beroperasi. Sekarang tebu diangkut pakai truk.
