I live in a log cabin and had staining on my wall like yours. I took Murphy's oil soap and warm water with a wash cloth and steel wool pad and scrubbed the logs and the staining came off. Thanks for the video.

Hello Alone, nice to see you putting the cameras to use. A little advice, when pulling difficult nails out, put a wedge of wood under the head of the hammer 🔨 and it will come out easier. That is some bad flooding. Nice furniture you got, the kitchen sure did a transformation. Nice video, take care

Nice room reflection in your mirror! Your new furniture looks awesome. I can appreciate your sense of lumber value in these older pieces. It must be a satisfying gain to your possessions. I noticed the height of the secretary works perfectly with your previously hung mirror and matches the height of your adjacent kitchen shelves/curtains presently. Nice bonus.

Great video. Thank you for the mention . Stick with me kid I wont steer ya wrong. BUT. Although a spruce grouse does drum , its more of a flutter. The long drown out drumming is of the Ruffed Grouse . I can not wait to see your trail cam pictures. We are going to get a few for our place for sure. and Gurl you need a proper crowbar at least a 2 footer , maybe 3 for those long overkill nails . Oh and to cover those chips in the veneer (you dont have the pieces for) a black sharpie goes a long way. Cheers

Ha! Too funny Alone! That is exactly what I thought. ‘Sounded like some kind of engine trying to turn over and start the first time I ever heard a Grouse drumming. It was still dark when I had arrived at my deer stand after climbing near the top of the mountain. I was stripping down to remove my wet tee shirt, socks & underwear that were soaked in sweat from the trek up the mountain. So there I was. Standing there bare @$$ naked in the dark, in the woods, temperature below 20 degrees, reaching into my pack for dry underwear & socks when I heard very close to me, that sound. I froze. Trying to figure out just what the hell it was! I knew no vehicle could have made it up the mountain to where I was. After a couple of minutes standing there, shivering in the dark, the noise began again. Then again after that. Finally I had to put some clothes on because I was beginning to shiver like a quaking Aspen. Finally Dressed, I sat down continuing to hear the sound repeated over & over for the next 45 minutes as it began to get daylight. I decided that it had to be some kind of bird responsible for the noise. Later in the morning, I caught a movement out front. A Ruffed Grouse jumped up on a log, puffed up it’s chest, cupping out stretched wings, and began it’s drumming ritual. I felt so stupid for being frozen in fear just a little while earlier in the dark, naked, & cold from this harmless little bird!😂😅😂

Hi Bill! Oh my! That is too funny! Last summer I was so annoyed hearing the sound. And like you, I kept thinking there is no way there is a motor up here. Why? How??? Now that I know what it is, I smile every time I hear it. 😊

Having gone through a flood myself just 8 months ago, I feel so very sorry for all those people who are dealing with it up there. Finding new flooring, drywall, insulation etc was somewhat difficult and expensive but it's probably 3 times as much up there! I replaced a few lost items with antique pieces and after some elbow grease and imagination they now look great. I love the pieces you chose and believe you'll have them working &looking great in no time.
