Good advice my Uganda brother. As African young immigrants coming Abroad to study the best bet is to study courses where the natives would not want to do naturally such as social and health care, IT, vocational trainings and the likes.

Very good interview. MBA is a thing with Africans but really it lands you jobs below the level you have schooled. It’s a great advice to always do an intensive research into the countries job market before embarking on these fancy degrees. Well done DJ Billy 👏🏽

It’s good svtv is now international. Many people in Ghana will think we are discouraging them from coming but hearing from other countries, maybe it will make them think twice. Please come but know that it’s not easy so prepare to hustle.

MBA [hopefully finance/investment, supply chain management rather than general business/accounting] is good but for the citizens rather than foreigners unless you are already working in a Bank [or development finance organization] and you want to advance your career in that organization. My advice to the youth is to pursue careers in areas that are in demand, i.e., where competition with the citizens is minimal. These include civil engineering, law, health care [e.g. medical doctors and nurses] and public health, computer science [e.g. cyber security, digital marketing, cloud computing], and trades such as welding, bricklaying, plumbing, gas technicians, electricians, auto mechanics.
