So you people are just gonna push propaganda without explaining what's causing the tension between South Africans and African foreigners? So u think South Africans just woke up one day and started despising foreigners for no reason? Every action has a reaction. Please don't disrespect us. This whole segment is shameful.
That's not the fear of the unknown. The truth is that some companies employ undocumented foreigners for low wages. South Africans are sidelined because they want to be paid a minimum wage. Forget not that there is a national minimum wage law in SA. People are just competing for jobs. Think of the building that collapsed on workers (mostly undocumented migrants) in CTN. They said they were earning R85 per day. That's slavery. ZIM people once fought with the Lesotho nationals in CTN for jobs. Was that xenophobia? If we really want to stop the so-called xenophobia, we must speak the truth.
How it started ......Nigerian dealer was selling drugs to school chidren at the bus stop .....when the taxi driver intervene he was shot dead ...by the Nigerian .....that's how it started .... south african said enough is enough Please google and find out how many Nigerians are arrested for drugs dealing and human trafficking
We are tired of these Self-centred people, please leave us alone always whines and whinge about South Africa. Abahambe. Do not let them take a Mick. They're absolutely bullies, arrogant people. These people definitely do not like us. When y'all gonna see this. Speak up we are tired of their bullshit in our country, go sort your country. Abahambe, we need our own space
It's important to approach these issues with empathy and understanding for all involved, especially given my friend is sharing her personal story and not representing all Nigerians. I hope that the police would take appropriate action to address drug dealing and human trafficking, regardless of the perpetrators' nationality. Thank you for watching.
@@HowIsYourHeartPod u know SA police won't do anything so if u want to be treated like a human being don't be involved in crime in a foreign land, south african criminals also get mob justice what makes your criminals special.
No matter how much SOUTH AFRICANS try to explain how xenophobia started in SOUTH AFRICA, FOREIGNERS will also stick to their versions. That is their opinions and they are entitled to it. Let us just embrace our XENOPHOBIC.
She is definitely a Nigerian who was born in Zimbabwe. No South African will ever be ashamed of acknowledging who they are anywhere in this world. But then again South Africans are never really interested in Africa. We prefer to be here at home among our own people and not with outsiders.
My point was that before moving to London, I didn't have any personal relationships with foreigners in SA, other than seeing them in shops or in the CBD. Living in London has allowed me to better understand their stories and experiences beyond what I see in the media. The podcast aims to understand people's experiences and appeal to their humanity rather than putting everyone in one box. Thank you for watching.
what is the main course of Xenophobia in South Africa? Make people understand why South Africans decided to be xenophobic after years they had you in their country
This thing of xenophobia in South Africa. In the Media is a big issue but on the ground there nothing like that in general .99.99999% of South Africans never experienced this in our areas. Africans are in Every small & big towns here but i have never seen people chasing Africans from another African countries .This happened someone in Johannesburg way back ,for the past 30 years only saw it on TV far back. Those people were fighting for a woman as we were told.actually it was like a gangster thing.Media was the one shouted this xenophobia in every news bulletin. Where is xenophobia in South Africa in reality & practical.??
To grow up in SA it's doesn't mean you South African you Nigerian that's it. It your parents issue that you didn't learn your culture. It fun that other Africa countries have a lowest unemployment it us who highest but they come here.
Nigeria is also facing an immigration problem from the Sahel, which is the reason why Nigeria now have a farmer and Cattle herder clash today that has created over 2 million IDPs.'s across the middle belt of Nigeria. Immigration of Arab pastoralists from the Sahel is the root cause of the genocide of black Africans in Sudan.
There is no history of civil war in SA, so to say there is a thing between Xhosas and Zulus which she compares to Yorubas and Igbos is false. Rurals in South Africa behave similarly, the treatment/warmth she got in Limpopo she is more likely to get in elsewhere in any rural parts of South Africa.
My question to south Africa is it the only Africa that Nigeria people are staying that they always complained of Nigeria citizens are that and these.Ghana, Cameron Sénégal and Togo they don't complain about why always South Africa? A failed child will always gave excuses of his failure. Xenophobic hatred is virus in your Vien the more show hatreds it's spread.
So that we can bypass all of this inter-African xenophobia nonsense, I agree with using the new Pan-African identity term to cover 'Blacks' (Africans) of all persuasions: MwanaUbuntu ('Child of Ubuntu'), as promoted by the Kumbukeni podcast platform. 🙏🏿

I think the influx of illegal foreigners made thing complicated in South Africa there was never an issue for legal foreigners in SA
Thank you for watching, appreciate the balanced view.

Nationality of a criminal is important....for collecting proper stats

Cape town has lot of foreigners what are you talking about when you say you were not exposed to foreigners just because you are from Cape town
