Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 OnBoard Laps at Monza Circuit!

- As promised in the previous video, you can now enjoy some laps on board the mighty Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 during the development test done last week at Monza Circuit, driven by Lamborghini racing driver Raffaele Giammaria. Due to Monza's characteristics, the day was mainly focused on testing brakes and their behavior, trying different solutions.
The Essenza SCV12 is Lamborghini track-only and limited-edition hypercar born as a result of the combined work of Lamborghini Squadra Corse and Lamborghini Centro Stile. It's powered by the production 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine able to produce up to 830 hp and linked to a X-trac sequential 6-speed gearbox that unloads the power to the rear wheels. The aerodynamic package comes from Squadra Corse's experience with the Huracan Super Trofeo and GT3 cars. The bodywork is formed by only three elements to enable quick replacement when necessary. The chassis of the SCV12 is a new-generation carbon fiber monocoque without internal rollcage, making it the first GT car developed to respect FIA prototype safety rules. A total of 40 cars will be built and, as it happens with XX cars for Ferrari or P1 and Senna GTRs for Mclaren, the lucky customers will be able to drive them from 2021 in “arrive and drive” events held at FIA Grade 1 homologated circuits.
The Essenza in this video is the development mule, even if it reflects in all respects the definitive machine, so that is still using (and probably will always keep) the camo wrap they put on it to hide the major details of the car for testing before the official presentation, happened last July 2020 and during which they unveiled the colour scheme and livery.
I was expecting it to be a little bit noisier from the inside (looking at the audio level of my recording compared to other race cars), but as confirmed by both drivers, it's kinda quiet when you're in the cockpit, compared from the outside.

They actually made this car. Fully track focused, naturally aspirated v12, 800hp, & that glorious sound! Feels like 00's era is back. We won't be seeing more of such cars in the future since everyone is going to hybrid or fully electric.....lets just take a moment to appreciate Lamborghini for making such a wild track car.

@@dw6831 update the v10 cars' aero and give them the modern slicks that the 2020 cars use and they wouldn't be much slower. But yeah, rationally, the v6 turbo is the right choice

Hybrid is good tho, the problem is most car automaker pair the hybrid with turbocharged engine instead of naturally aspirated, the perfect example of n/a + hybrid are 918 Spyder and LaFerrari, they're both hybrid but still sounds glorious.

@@axl_fm I am not suprised. Reading video descriptions is not a common thing these days. Normally i don't read such long descriptions, but often i "fly over it" and some info gets stuck. The car's design is so obscure... the designer must've thought "What if we combined the Veneno, Centenario and Aventador?!". But overall, I wonder how the car would perform if Lamborghini suddenly thinks of putting the car in the Le Mans Hypercar class

If im being honest with you, i was never a fan of any of those Aventador-line cars, maybe only the Centenario but that was it, i felt like Italdesign went too far with the agressive angles.
The Huracán and the Sian look way better imo
a mix of Sesto, Aventador and Veneno*
The rear reminds me of the Diablo GTR. The engine cover and rear upper section could be straight off the Sesto Elemento, while the front is a clash between the Huracan, Gallardo and Aventador. At the end of the day though, a machine like this isn't about looks at all. It's about performance and how it makes you feel while thrashing around with that glorious V12 symphony in the back.

Since childhood Lamborghini has always been MY no. 1 favorite brand of sports cars! And now I know why.... THAT SOUND! It began with the legendary Miura, then the Countach (especially the one in the movie "Cannonballrun") and with V10 it was the Gallardo that sounds amazing! This beast with its V12 makes my list complete! Thank you so much for the footage of this masterpiece! 🙏😊

I'd probably lose control and plow it into the wall on the first corner and die, but it would be probably the best 25 seconds of my life.
I have to say though that, nice as this sounds, in Lamborghini world nothing speaks to me engine-note-wise more than the Hurracan. That grinding, mechanical tone it has is just gorgeous.
Hopefully Audi will continue to make the V10 🙏

Amazing sound. That steering wheel would do my head in though. It's not connected centrally so looks like it rotates off a normal axis.
The steering wheel is just mounted ~30 degrees backwards from the column but the wheel still turns -90 and +90 degrees comfortably,

The cockpit is super lowprofile it's actually crazy. Look how high his hands go when he's turning sharp. The even had to hang the screen of the dashboard on the freaking roof. It's borderline LMP car! I'm not a huge fan of the look, but it does sounds phenomenal
