This presentation is about more than just the "hows" of achieving an esthetic, --but of the "whys" each element holds up and endures as high-value gear. This guy put in the reps as an educator. Boom ;-)
I wasn't a fashion guy when picking my clothes. But, i do love to draw characters in different outfit that spell their characters without words and also do a little cosplay with clothes you could just nail on everyday wear. You earn another new subscriber my man
I'd love to have more videos on how to put outfits together and how to match colors and pieces of clothing. It would be a dream come true to finally understand how it works and know what I'm doing.
I’m probably an archetypal English gentleman. I’m not sure about old money as I don’t know what means or is defined as. I dress smartly whenever I go out changing my style dependant on what I’m going to be doing. The quality of the clothes is obviously critical. So is the maintenance of those clothes in that they can be well-worn in but they must always be clean, pressed or shined. Age of the clothes is a minor factor - good cuts may not be “in fashion” but they are just timeless. Age of the wearer is a minor factor - good is good no matter your age. It’s a matter of pity for me that, in wearing good quality clothes out and about I am an exception. The notion of wearing clothes that are as creased as possible, often too tight to be comfortable and show little care and attention is an anathema to me. However, each to their own; you must have confidence and pleasure in dressing whatever your style. I’m by no means a rich man but not poor. I have good quality clothes because I buy quality and not quantity. I buy items made from good fabric or leather which have been well made. I do not hesitate - in fact prefer - to buy second hand because there seems little doubt that the quality of most items has been cut and cut over the last 20 or 30 years. Buy a 1980’s Savile Row suit and you have something that will see you out. Buy a 1970’s (true) Crombie coat and you’ll never need to buy another.
One of my favourite old money winter aesthetics is black suit polished black oxfords black long overcoat-with matching black leather gloves and nice scarf
Penny loafer is my go to nowadays. I have two. I have smooth leader with leather outsole and heel for bit dressed up needs. And I have an oiled leather with rubber outsole and no heel for the casual everyday use. Very comfortable.
Hey Antonio, thank you for the video. The shoe at 13:50 is an oxford but not a balmoral oxford. Not every oxford is a balmoral as it is a specific kind of oxford with a horizontal seem that runs the length of the quarter, you might want to look it up. Hope this helps. Edit: The shoe at 14:25 also isn't a blucher but instead a derby. The vamp of a blucher is made out of one piece while that of a derby is made out of two pieces. Edit: The shoes around 15:50 are indeed penny loafers but not venetian loafers. They are not the same. Please don't get the feeling that I want to upset you, I legitimately just want to make sure the correct information is out there.
Thanks for the breakdown! Could you help me with something unrelated: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
We are wealthy, I’m 35 and mostly wear Walmart hoodies and sweats this time of year 😂 Yeah I own nice clothes..but 90% of the time I’m dressing super casual. Same we have some nice cars..but usually I’ll just drive my old, but beloved Toyota Corolla lol. I’m married with kids, so there’s not many I’m trying to dress wealthy for lol. To be fair, I’m athletic and still very fit..so there’s sweats is a good look for me still. If I was chubby or something..yeah, different story lol
Amazing video Antonio !! I have question? I have a cable knit sweater from polo ralph lauren and there 100% cotton and lightweight. Ive seen the models wear it without a shirt . I just wanted to ask, is it normal to wear a light cable knit sweater without a shirt ? If so , can I wear it like that? I just want to know if its considered normal.
Not sure of those first few examples are what you would call "old money." They definitely look more West Palm Beach real estate agent than European old money (which is where that term originates from). The Old Money look is more Dicky Greenleaf from The Talented Mr Ripley than the banker look.
the more i watch this (technically perfect and professionally moderated) channel, the more i ask myself: 'do i have to follow a currnet style (that makes some people rich) like a cow in a heard?' - nope!
are there any stores you you recommend to try and stay away from. I really only have a men's warehouse, kohl's and JC penny's. any box store's you thing are better then others? I know JC penny's is not as nice I thought it would be
Give me just Tony Soprano’s ward robe, maybe a bit adjusted to nowadays and I would be happy. All those labelling and those catchy descriptions of style today is just ridiculous 😐
I would not call any diver watch "old money". For the old money look you want a small watch, mechanical (naturally), leather strap, roman numerals, and either a cream or white face. Anything bulky or technical looking is not old money.
The the two dolce and gabana fragrances are a little bad. The Light and Blue is way too popular and when I smell it makes me nauseous. The One is good but it's way too faint. Like I can barely tell I even sprayed any on
@@Gondor532_ I think because people have been yearning for tradition … tradition have been pivotal in society and history some things are timeless therefore you know when you get them or practice something old fashion it works it’s battle tested
@@Devin_Milford Got nothing to do with Trump hate. You like Trump, go right ahead. My point is that copying anyone's style makes you look like a tool. Even the person you copy will think you're a fool.
I've never found Americans dress well even when they dress expensive. Aside from Ralph Lauren, meh. Can't beat British, Spanish, Italian and French chic but also in reality a lot of aristocrats wear skanky inherited clothes they've had patched up, I met a lot of people from British aristocratic families shopping in second hand shops. Buy luxury fabrics in Europe and get them tailored in India, Vietnam, Taiwan, Turkey, Pakistan....

What about No Money aesthetics?

Idk what's happening exactly, but I see what used to be standards and law regarding style is all broken now, I rather the old rmrs
I fell in love with the ap when I first saw it. sadly, I'm not wealthy enough to buy any of these luxury watches so I roll with the ali one's instead
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I thought khakis was what you use to start your car in Boston? I'll show myself out.....

Love microbrands!
No example of bald haircut like me...😅🤭

I'd love to go to a business meeting wearing that yellow Dick Tracy suit

These labels are silly
@1;11 a simple dress watch with a wrinkly AF face and a dog collar around my neck?! - WTF AC!?
Why is the old money aesthetic so popular lately?

It's "old wine in new bottles." Get it ?

Stop with the AI.
Navy suit with 'red power tie'. You forgot the badly dyed comb-over and orange spray tan.
